A: Poured from the growler into a Piraat tulip. Body is light orange/vibrant tangerinw witha small whitish head. Some lace.
S: Very nice - juicy citrus (grapefruit, some pineapple as well) and pine. Also some underlying caramel malt foundation.
T: Excellent. Lots of flavors come to mind, but they gel together nicely: caramel malt/toffee and honey provide the malt foundation; citrus - grapefruit, oranges and grapefruit peel, with a lemony finish that made me think of Sorachi Ace, Nelson Sauvin or Citra hops. Touch of peppery spice at the finish, with warmth from the ABV felt in the belly.
M: Slightly slick in feel. Heft is heavier than expected given the light-colored body and the use of rice.
O: A very drinkable and tasty DIPA. Solid stuff.
Serving type: growler

16oz. draft at Crunchy's in East Lansing.
A - Pours a golden straw with a one-finger foamy white head. Light amount of sticky lacing.
S - Aromas of floral hops, pineapple, mango, and biscuity malt.
T - The taste follows the aroma. Upfront is a nice mix of biscuity malt and tropical fruits (pineapple and mango). The finish has a nice amount of resinous hops with some grapefruit.
M - Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Very smooth and creamy mouthfeel.
O - This is an excellent DIPA. For a 9.5% beer it is very drinkable. Lots of well rounded flavors. Delicious.
Serving type: on-tap
