64oz growler poured into an imperial pint glass (20oz). Growler filled almost exactly one week ago, thanks Brian (brownbrian) for the longtime want.
A- Pours a crystal clear golden color with about three finger white frothy head that has excellent retention coating the glass with a nice layer of foam. Nice carbonation level that has great consistency especially considering it came from a screw-top growler, probably better carbonation then most bottled IPAs I've had.
S- Grapefruit dominates the smell, balanced with malts and a hint of rice that balances nicely with the malt presence, can detect a slight presence of booze but well hidden with the grapefruit. Fairly aromatic and nicely balanced.
T- Big juicy grapefruit lightly bitter presence up front with a hint of lemon, can taste a little bit of the rice which is balanced with the malts, finishes with lightly zesty lemons, more grapefruit, and some oranges. Awesome balance, fairly fruity, rice adds a nice subtle unique aspect to it.
M- Medium bodied, fairly soft on the palate with a nice bitterness and light creaminess, perfect carbonation level for the style, super drinkable for the abv. Probably the best part about this beer.
O- This is easily one of the better DIPA's I've had, especially considering it's 9.5%. It's super drinkable, possibly the one of the most drinkable beers I've had around the 10% range, and quite flavorful combined with the subtle unique aspect that the rice adds to it. With all that being said it's hard to say this is one of the top DIPA's I've ever had with the market being as flooded as it is. This is without a doubt worth trying, however there are a few local New England DIPA's that I prefer slightly over this which prevents me from rating it even higher.

16oz. draft at Crunchy's in East Lansing.
A - Pours a golden straw with a one-finger foamy white head. Light amount of sticky lacing.
S - Aromas of floral hops, pineapple, mango, and biscuity malt.
T - The taste follows the aroma. Upfront is a nice mix of biscuity malt and tropical fruits (pineapple and mango). The finish has a nice amount of resinous hops with some grapefruit.
M - Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Very smooth and creamy mouthfeel.
O - This is an excellent DIPA. For a 9.5% beer it is very drinkable. Lots of well rounded flavors. Delicious.
