Big thanks to Markinithar and JM03 for making this growler find its way to me. Poured into a 22oz snifter, the brew appears a polished clear golden orange color with a thin firm white head that holds in a film across the top and skant spots and strings of lace.
The aroma is very hoppy with fruity and zesty notes of tropical character. Pineapple and oramge/mandrin zest are on the forefront with some hints of herbal and pine character. Mildly grassy with fruity pulp character and solvent alcohol notes.
Taste is rindy with pulp and zest. Some tropical hop notes get a bit herbal and even more rindy as it warms up. Alcohol blends in with the hops to formulate quite a complex fruit character with seemingly no malt backing.
This is a medium bodied brew with a modest amount of carbonation. It is a little boozy and excessively tropical and fruity from the hops and alcohol. Despite the big alcohol character this brew drinks very easy and is enjoyable.
