Super huge thanks goes to mjd83goblue for this one!

This pours a super dark (opaque) ruby color. It looks black, but if you backlight it, it's beautiful. A minimal head of light foam appears and quickly fades. There is no lacing to speak of, at all.

Beautifully huge nose, filled with currants. (Imagine that!) Both black and red currants are in this one, no doubt. I don't know if any other fruits are in here, but I'm getting good hints of blackberries and raspberries, also. A very light hint of caramel slips through. A mild alcohol presence is noticable, but at 15%ABV that's not surprising.
The nose is mostly about the delicious fruit scent, though.

The taste follows the nose quite well. The fruits hit you first, very sweet and with a touch of sour to provide some balance. Then they are followed by a nice, if mild, malt presence. Very nice caramel toffee notes, some light roastiness, a little bit of golden brown sugar, and a touch of smokiness. The finish is almost like a dry port. It's definitely still sweet, bet it feels like it trys to grab hold of your tongue and throat, like it doesn't want to leave your mouth. I love that about ports, and I love it about this.

I'd say that this one is medium bodied, but I'll also say that it feels very heavy, in your mouth. Nicely oily, it coats the pipes, all the way down...you can feel it. It has extremely minimal carbonation but it works for this one. Very smooth.

Despite the not so hidden 15%ABV, I find this quite easy to drink. I can understand that most people would be content with the 6oz bottles that it comes in. I'd like to have it in 12oz bottles myself, though.
This is really, really good.

2007 vintage. Poured into a snifter. Thanks again for sharing Matt!

(A)- Pours a very deep blood red crimson color. Surprisingly, some white bubbles formed.

(S)- Quite a dense array of candied raspberry bramble bush in all. Subtle raisin and earthy sherry-like notes.

(T)- Quite a nice leathery component combined with a sweet sherry-like profile with some cocoa and raisin with sweet raspberry and grape fruits.

(M)- Quite sweet but also a superbly well hidden ABV. Very similar to a dessert wine in my tastes.

(O)- A very big but very successful fruit beer that is best saved for dessert or a nightcap. I definitely understand why they bottled this in those tiny 8oz. bottles since it is actually the perfect amount to enjoy this beer by.

2007 vintage purchased at Winter Solstice 2011; 187 mL bottle

A - Pours a clear red/brown color with no carbonation to speak of.

S - Smell is mostly a wonderful aroma of currents, with a faint amount of alcohol and tootsie roll thrown in.

T - Taste seems to constantly change within a sip. At times fruity, at times boozy, definitely some tootsie roll. Unfortunately, also some unpleasant medicinal tastes and as others have mentioned, some astringent notes. Also a bit boozy, but pretty mild considering the abv. Definitely a mixed bag that doesn't live up to the aroma, but is still mostly enjoyable.

M - The astringency kills the mouthfeel a bit. Otherwise slightly syrupy.

O - Definitely an interesting one from Kuhnhenn. Haven't had this before, so I have no idea what the aging has been. There are a lot of nice things going on here, but unfortunately some unpleasant flavors prevent this from being great.

2007 8oz. Bottle courtesy of Rempo, thanks Mark!

This beer pours a syrupy dark brown with purple overtones and no carbonation. The nose is big and syrupy with a lot of blueberry and grape characteristics. It definitely has loads of residual sugar. The flavors are odd. Its medicinal and has loads of blueberry, grape, almost generic sucker like fruit flavors. It's interesting. I don't care for the finish. It has too much sugar and is a little astringent. It is sticky sweet. The astringency definitely takes ahold with more sips. I'm definitely grateful that I could try this but It it just wasn't up my alley.
