Clearer orange color with a bit of redness around the sides. Thinnish foamy head doesn't maintain too well. Moderate lacing. Looks unique.
Smells like wildflower honey and oranges. Strong Belgian yeasty qualities of pepper and earthy components. More fruits and a little alcohol kick as it warms.
Taste does not quite live up to the aroma. The fruitiness seems to take over. Lots of apricots and some underripe bananas in here. Too much of a sweet honey taste. The hops don't really counterbalance that sweetness too well. They almost seem tealike and bring out more honey flavors. Finish is strong on alcohol, yeasty spices, and some citric hoppiness. It's a bit harsh.
The mouthfeel is harsh all around. Sharp flavors don't really meld together too well. In the end it got too sweet and cloying.
I got a bunch of Kuhnhenn bottles while on the east side of the state and they all seem to have a bottling problem. I would love to try the taproom because these bottles aren't quite living up to the name.
