A: Pours a nearly opaque reddish/brown color. A one finger beige head forms, and leaves some lace behind.
S: Sweet caramel malt with some dark fruits. A bit of hoppy bitterness, but it is always in check with the great malt balance. Plenty of spiciness as well. Some cinnamon and nutmeg. Really interesting.
T: Follows the nose. Sweet caramel malt. Lightly toasted and lightly hopped. Some brewers yeast. Plenty of spices. Cinnamon and nutmeg. I really like it.
M/D: A medium body and carbonation. Creamy and smooth. Easy to drink. I can put back a few of these with no problem.
A great Winter Warmer. I have been really impressed with all the beers from the Blind Pig. This is no exception. Highly recommended.
