A great little place on Dupont Cir. Only about a dozen taps, but nice selection. Bottle choices are nearly endless. Pizza is excellent for the US, but no comparison to Rome or Naples, Italy. Get there early as happy hour is an overflow crowd.

What I had: Draft pint of Monocacy Humulus Lupulus Rex and an Insalata Paradiso for me, glass of sauvignon blanc and an Insalata Romana for my partner, Bosco Pizza to split.
What I liked: Casual, low-key atmosphere at lunch time, no trouble finding seats, had a nice view of the kitchen and wood oven from our table, scrumptious pizza that lives up to the hype, efficient service, solid bottle list, I’ll always remember this place since I proposed to my fiancé (girlfriend at the time) right after our meal.
What I disliked: Tap lineup wasn’t nearly as good as I expected on our visit, waiter was quick to bring everything to the table but not all that friendly, with such a small bar and a clear focus on food I couldn’t see myself coming here just to drink. That said, we enjoyed our experience here.
Would I go back? Most likely.

This is a really comfortable place for Pizza & a wide beer selection -- perfect for dads taking their kids on Father's Day. My 9" ATOMICA pizza was nicely spicy and delicious. Their multi-page beer menu (+ 12 draft beers) is sizable and both my beers were excellent, but the first beer I ordered "wasn't available" ... so I can't testify that they actually have all they claim. But will definitely return.

Pizza and beer is as American as Washinton DC, and what better way to enjoy my first lunch in the District of Columbia in 15 years than pizza and beer? It took me and my brother less than 20 minutes to walk here from the White House, and when we made it, I was ready for a beer or two.

Luckily, Pizzeria Paradiso does that beer thing well. Sitting in a small, rustic interior, and a small bar area where the two of us grabbed seats, the draft menu is easy to spot and mixes in some intriguing options. Freigeist, Del Borgo, Founders, DC Brau, Atlas, and Port City were among the drafts, plus a cask offering, and if that isn't enough, somewhere around 200 bottles and offering brands like Alvine, Against the Grain, Grimm, Omnipollo, Brewers' Art, La Cotta, and Hanssens. Pairing with the beer is a wide arsenal of beer glassware, an underappreciated art stateside.

The focaccia we had came out quick and got me in craving our custom pepperoni, sausage, and garlic pizza. Both of us found the pizza to be excellent. Having food come out quick as well as quick and knowledgeable drink service at the bar got my respect for Pizzeria Paradiso. After two beer, pizza, and focaccia, it was a long yet happy walk south to the Lincoln Memorial. It was worth the extended walk.

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat and some good beer on a weekday. Sat at the bar.

Clean and upscale setting. Nothing pretentious, just nicely done. Good music. When I sat down they gave a small bowl of fancy olives. Quite tasty. Nice touch.

Bartender was attentive and knowledgeable. Not overly friendly, but that was fine.

I ordered a pizza. It came quite quickly. Very tasty.

Star of this show is the beer [as it should be]. Bottled beer menu is about 12 pages. Also had about 12 beers on tap. 1 cask ale was available, which is always impressive.

Overall, a very nice place to stop in for a bite to eat and some good beer.
