Poured from the can into a pint glass. The appearance is yellowish golden like most macro pilsner with a head that dissipates quickly. The nose is slightly malty and skunky. The taste is slight cooked cabbage and metallic note much going on here. The mouthfeel is fizzy and carbonated. If it is nice and cold could be refreshing. I am not a big fan of this beer.

Appearance – Yellow body with a very nice head that foamed up well and laced the glass.

Smell – I can pick up a light hop aroma, but there’s something funky going on in there.

Taste – Starts off with that dry, hint-of-malt freshness typical of the style. The body is still light but on the fully side of light. The finish though disappointed. There’s a reeky kind of aftertaste that’ll keep me from buying this one again.

Mouthfeel – Pleasant. Carbonation is non-existent in keeping with the style, and the classic pils body always keeps the cheeks happy.

Drinkabilty – If it wasn’t for that finish (and the smell of it on the nose) I’d “3” this beer, but the funk in the trunk hurts this rating.

It pours a great looking classic pils pale straw. Its just slightly hazy. The head is large and hanging on impressively for a pilsner but shows minimal lacing.

The nose is great for a pilsner. Musty hop luplin, sugary light malt, perhaps rice, and just a whif of that sulfer.

Taste starts watery then goes pretty metalic with to grassy-sweet with just a tinge of bitter at the end. I read a few of other reviews and I think folks are being too hard on this beer. It's no masterpiece but I've had worse.

A few minutes later...nevermind, I can't even finish this. There are some serious mouthfeel issues here. Every next sip is increasingly stingy and astringent. Almost like the tounge is being electrocuted. Seriously, what the hell.

Presentation: 12oz green bottle with the words "Dutch" and "Holland" appearing everywhere! Six-packs are wrapped in plastic rather than the traditional cardboard carriers.

Appearance: Crystal clear golden liquid with a minimal white lace head.

Smell: Light malt, apple skin and that skunk smell known world wide as "the green bottle lager/pilsner smell."

Taste: A bit crisp with a light malt and adjunct flavour. Touch of hop flavour and bitterness pulls through at the end, just as this brew starts to dry up in the mouth.

Notes: At $4.29 a six-pack this is the generic import pilsner of choice. Perfect for a hot summer day or light drinking.

Appearance: gold in color, 1 inch head, clear, low carbonation

Smell: wheat and honey

Taste: honey, wheat, and grass

Mouthfeel: light bodied, moderate carbonation, slightly sweet with a bitter backbone

Drinkability: Not a favorite. This tastes a step above an adjunct lager. There are many in the style that I would turn to first. A bit watery and the flavors did not come together for me.

A- Clear golden yellow with a white head and quick disappearing lacing.

S- Skunkey with a very slight citrus smell

T/M – Bitter and skunkey, not as smooth as I have had in the past.

D- Had this beer before in a can and it was not too bad. This time around in a bottle it defiantly had a stronger skunk smell was not as drinkable with a slightly bitter taste to it. Not sure if it was just a dab bottle

This beer pours a light straw yellow, with a thin white head. The head fades fast, leaving very few laces.

This beer has a slight citrus hop aroma. It has a slight skunk aroma, but that might be due to the fact that it is bottled in a green bottle.

This beer tastes more malty than I would have though. It has a light caramel sweet flavor. The floral, citrus hops are present, but mild. The skunkyness that was present in the aroma is not present in the flavor. It tastes better than I expected.

This beer is crisl and light. It goes down smooth, leaving a floral aftertaste.

This beer might make a good session beer. It is not aggressive, and it is probably relatively low in alcohol. I doubt I will have it again, but it was good to try.

A medium sized white head quickly falls into a thin lacing above a clear bright golden colored pils.

Sour to light skunky grain malt with some light hops characteristics sneaking in the aroma of this beer.

Light sour to skunky grain malt with some bittering hops aiding in the taste.

A light dry aftertaste with just a bit of the sourness hanging around on this light bodied beer.

Not much to brang about here, standard light sour to skunky pilsener, next.

This poured with a bright yellow and orange color, with just a touch more orange than I would consider ideal. The head is nothing special but it lasts well and leaves a nice speckled lace.

The smell is not very impressive, but not horrific as many of the cheap lagers are. The taste leaves some hints of cheap grains in the mouth but is reasonable overall. The mouthfeel was a bit too sharp. Drinkability remains good as there's not too much to this beer.

There's nothing remarkable about this stuff, but it works.

Pours an absolutely crystal-clear deep-golden body that reveals hundreds of average-sized bubbled rising steadily beneath a long-lasting head of creamy bright-white foam that holds quite well and leaves excellent lacing about the glass. The aroma offers a soft grainy maltiness and a mildly skunked herbal hoppiness. The body is medium with a fine-bubbled carbonation that's crisp on the tongue. The flavor delivers exactly what the nose promises with its sweetish grainy malt base and grassy, herbal and floral hops perfectly balanced by a solid bitterness. (It's less bitter than Heineken, and most German pilseners as well). It finishes dry and refreshing with a lingering swirl of hops that begs you to have another swallow. Very well done; and exceptional at the low price point it's sold at!

16oz can into Pilsener style tasting glass.
A: A very lively carbonation is shown in the clear straw colored body. The white head pours a good formation, but does not last to long and retreats to a very thin layer.

S: A very light bready aroma of pilsen malts is found, but very one dimensional and somewhat bland.

T/M: The overall taste is light and low, with underling flavors of noble hops and a stale malt backbone. Lingering flavors a minimal at best.

D: The drinkablity of this beer is fairly high, but the overall character is not too impressive.

12oz green bottle with a date code of L0416 12:33 whatever that is. Almost no lacing or head retention

Pours an effervescent honey gold with 2+ fingers of fluffed up white head.

S: A little floral hops & sopayness

T: Swet malt & some floral hops. Soapy hop taste follows along with some diathechyl/butterscotch & grainyness. Finishes dry, a litle fruitry & grainyness

MF: Almost medium bodied with moderate carbonation & okay balance, a little grittyness from the grainyness

This just an average drinker, wasn't expecting much & that's about what I got, a ho-hum pils. Beter than BMC but nothing to rwrite home about

Golden hue with a very limited and underdeveloped head, no retention and no lace. The nose wasn't exactly skunky but more like old, wet grains and musty cream. It is tolerable... fairly neutral actually. The palate was very light, simple with a creamy-hay and spice mixture; it was respectable. I wouldn't go out of my way to drink this again, but I did like it (to some degree). Hell, give it a try.

Pours a clear straw yellow with a half inch head that heads for the hills within 30 to 60 seconds.

Smell is initially of cereal grains and yeast, offering some muddled hop notes later. Otherwise clean and carbonated.

Taste is OK, with a thin malt body. The beer is rather light bodied in general and offers little lingering flavor on the close. Carbonation burns off rather quickly leaving a slightly fuller body to the beer yet it's a beer that can't hold up to the low carbonation. I think I would prefer this straight from the can to hide a meager nose and to help hold carbonation.

I remember this having a bit more snap and flavor a decade ago. Interestingly, my brief and nonscientific search shows that this brewery was picked up by Interbrew (now InBev of course), the brewery then shuttered(2003) and production shifted to other locations.

Poured out to a light straw with a one-finger head that subsided slowly. Nothing special here.

The smell is of light floral hops, and a bit of malt. Very faint. Detected a bit of skunk too.

For a Pils, this beer is maltier, which I find pleasing. Nice and bready, not bad at all.

The mouthfeel is OK, but it's really nothing special. A bit too much carbonation for my taste.

This is a very drinkable beer, however.

A refreshing, tasty beer. Not bad at all.

12 Oz green bottle form a "Beers of the World" collection. Pours a transparent medium gold color with a moderate amount of carbonation. Not bad looking, but not anything special either. Aroma is hoppy, sharp, and a little sour. The flavor is a little better than the aroma, with a nice hop bite at the end. Flavor is clean to the the point of tasting very processed. My thought when drinking this was that it was Heineken's little brother. Not great, but not terrible either.

I think I got the right beer. This is actually a 500 ml can of a "Dutch style Pilsner". But the logo is the same, and the picture shows it's from Holland.

Appearance- It pours an increadibly clear, amber pilsner color. The head is average sixe, white and leaves behind some lacing.

Aroma- Lots of citrus in the nose. Some sour mash, some malt sweetness with a nice level of hop bitterness. Also smells just the tineiest bit skunky, which shouldn't happen in a canned beer.

Taste- Starts very generic, with no discernable taste. Quickly melds to with to grassy-sweet with just a tinge of bitter metal at the end. It doesn't sound good, but it's better than I've made it sound.

Mouthfeel- Light to medium body with a fair amount of carbonation. Some CO2 bite on the tip of the toungue. Not bad, but not great.

Drinkability- It's not the worse German Pilsner I've had, but it's in the lower half.

Pours a very clear light straw color. Has a good 1 finger foamy white head.

Smells like beer. Some sweet cracker malt. Low hop profile.

Not much flavor. Some sweetness from the malt with a little bit of a noble hop presence. Pretty easy drinking but no discernable bright flavors.

Mouthfeel is a bit light and carbonation levels are good.

Better than drinking BMC, but nothing really good either.

Poured into a Ayinger pint glass. Pours a light golden amber with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to a thin film and ring around the glass, no lacing. Aroma of sweet biscuit malt, faintly spicy, but hints of sourness; grainy and mild. Starts out with biscuit malt, grassy hops and hints of apple juice, but quickly tapers off to a bland faint sweet malt. Light bodied. Obviously brewed as a cheap, satisfactory pilsner, a half step above an adjunct ale and delivers to expectations. Drinkable but forgettable, average in all respects. Brewed by Wolters, and fortunately in a can so at least it's not skunky like their beers in green bottles.

pours a decent, clear, slightly golden straw hue with a two-plus-finger shaving cream-like head that has surprisingly decent retention and leaves acceptable lace.

aroma is earthy, grassy, a bit vegetal. a bit of cooked cabbage, some fresh brussel sprouts and some grain. would be good if it were a cabbage roll, but alas, it ain't. I feel I'm open with many pils/lager/cheap cans, but this one just smells tepid. a hint of hops mix with some chem-metalic notes.

taste is a bit better, though not a huge improvement. grainy, bready, doughy with some herbal grassy hop notes that don't help to brighten it all that much.

mouth is fair. moderate body for the style, ample carbonation, a lingering slightly astringent bitterness is just shy of being pleasant.

all in all, this one is distinctly forgettable. not the worst, but not the best. distinctly canned euro lager, but not the better side of the spectrum. I'm all for giving canned euro stuff high scores, but this one just falls flat.
