Taster at Bend brewpub. Nice and smooth, mellow bitterness. Pale golden in color, small frothy head, with some mild hop bitterness. Good summer quaff.

On tap at the brewery, Crystal Ballroom, Portland.
Dark amber with tan film. 3.75
Lots of caramel with slight citrus and ominous staleness. 3.5
Big caramel - oxidyzed and malty both - burnt grass and slight lemon. 3.25
Medium, chewy, round. 3.5
Just awful. An English pale if anything: too big, too sweet, and no hops for an ISA. But also showing cloying caramel notes from oxidation, too. Drainpour. 3

Pint at Thompsons Brewpup in Salem. $3.75 Golden /yellow beer with a small white bubbly head..,much like a lager. Aroma is more of the same but with maybe a bit o resiny hop. Good hoppy bite to the beer but a smooth rich golden malt toffee ending brings it in the golden arena. Nice smooth mouthfeel Ok blonde/pale ale.

I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the Mcmenamins in Mill Creek, WA.
Appearance: pale orange hue with a touch of haze and a moderate effervescence. Head is a finger of creamy white foam. Quite nice!
Smell: light citrusy hop aroma with a little toasty malt. Subtle but nice.
Taste: rich toasty malt flavor with quite a bit of hoppy flavor, both bright and musty, with a good citrus character. Bitterness is on the high side but is balanced.
Mouthfeel: medium light body with an OK carbonation. Decently creamy.
Overall: a good drinkin' Northwest pale ale. I would have this beer again.
