Swig is a great little bar with more then enough quality craft options on tap. The tap rotation consistently keeps you intrigued. The gastropub style food is much better than "bar food" at normal beer and wings places. Come for the beer and enjoy food while you're here!

They're making cash money. Good sausage sandwiches. No being greedy. Plenty of great beer. Southern Tier, Stone, Maumee Bay, Bell's, Founders, whatever, they got it! Wish I owned this place!!! If you are anywhere near NW Ohio, please visit! You owe it to them. Really. See you at MBB!!! My best, Paul

2 fries, one brat a pale ale pint & piss poor ipa $24 . To me that's too high . Basic pretentious hipster joint . WAY OVER RATED they only had one crappy ipa on tap . Only thing positive is location you most likely won't be shot. Can't figure how people say food is good!?!
A friend from work told me about this place . So I did a little reaserch . Place has conn to meat market & hand cut fries ,
ok I love fresh real fries and I will say they were good ,the brat was so what, need a local bakery bun as I know they have them in the area. Found out later friend eats across the street ,they got better food & prices but no beer
In all fairness my favorite place is one mile away so I may be more than a bit jaded

Why beat around the bush...Swig is the best beer bar in NW Ohio. 20 rotating taps, and a Manager who prides himself on finding the stuff his customers want.

But on top of that, you add in the fact that it's a charcuterie with delicious dogs, sausages and specialty smoked meats (The smoked pulled turkey is the best sandwich in town) coupled with some great entertainment on most nights...and you simply have the best hang-out bar in the area.

Great food, great beer selection, really good wait staff and good entertainment. 'Nuff said.

Swig is a must if you are in town. A great atmosphere with a prompt wait staff that knows thier beers. Always live entertainment and a casual crowd from early 20's to late 50's. Everyone will feel welcome. Nice patio in the summer and a cozy tight place inside. Usually not too long of a wait. Great sweet potato fries, good pulled pork, burgers and dogs, yes dogs. There is something on the menu for everyone including a Sundae with Chocolate Covered Bacon. Yum! The BLT Salad is a good choice and Beer Nog during Christmas! A great hang out!!

Swig has one of the best rotating tap selections in the northwest Ohio area. Their homemade sausages and dogs are top-notch. Great place for beer geeks, those looking for interesting drafts, families...basically anyone who loves good food and beer.

Check their Facebook page for live updates on the tap selection. They typically update at least once per day, and almost always update when something new is going on tap. One of the very few places in the area to find solid, seasonal releases from regional and national breweries (i.e., they might not have CBS or Black Note, but they'll have Backwoods Bastard and Blackout Stout on the engine).

Friendly staff. Small seating area. Often wait for seating.
Recommended.

A must for any beer geek in or visitng the greater Toledo OH area. This quaint joint in Perrysburg specializes in Homemade Sausages and Smoked Meats for eats. Maybe more importantly is the ever changing tap handles filled with the best craft and import beers they can get their hands on, along with a bottle cooler in which they do the same. Before I forget to mention, they also have a BEER ENGINE serving cask ales, I think the only place in northwest OH to have one. Great Beer, Great Food, Great People & Live Music. Need I say more?

Swig is GREAT! I think that it is the best craft beer bar in the Toledo area. The staff is highly knowledgable and very willing to help you if you are having trouble figuring out what you would like. There always seems to be a good mix of styles, regions, and popularities on tap, and as soon as something blows, they put something new on. This can make an evening in here very interesting, because you never know what is going to be tapped next. If you go, dont forget to check out the bottles, some good finds in there too!

Swig is located along the downtown strip in one of those touristy main strips with parking essentially in the road but in spaces on the side. It's basically a storefront bar.
There look to be 20 taps. It's mostly craft with about 3 outright BMC taps and 3 faux craft offerings. Normally, this would lend itself to a score ot 3.5 (for Toledo especially), but there's also an all-craft bomber fridge with one or two more elusive beers, and the taps rotate every day. Their focus of late has really been to get as much high-quality beer on as they can, they host tap takeovers from great craft breweries, and they tap really special one-offs or limited releases from time to time, too.
While Swig does have the storefront vibe, it is well-spaced and still able to accomodate more than it seems able to, and there's plenty of room at the bar. Prices are not bad at all. The food is delicious, particularly the sausages that are their specialty. Everything is made fresh in-house.
Give this place a shot. It's worth checking out.

Swig. All I can the best bar in the Toledo area for those that truly appreciate beer. They have 19 beers on tap, 14 of them rotate craft beers. They have a chalk board with the current selections, and this can change in one sitting. The food is also very tasty and high quality. They make their own sausage there, along with homemade fries, purple kraut, bacon, etc. The polish sausage dog served with homemade purple kraut is to die for. The geniune chicago dog is top notch and the spicy italian sausage and andoulle will knock your socks off. This place rocks, truly. Have heard rumors that they are franchising..we need one on the west side of town!

BTW, my buddy went there this weekend. They actually had a beer machine stocked with Peg Leg Imperial stout, hand-pumped with the long handles. He loved it. Neat place for sure.

Stopped by Swig for lunch with my Dad and Grandpa...I didn't have any idea Perrysburg had a place like this!

The atmosphere is pretty neat: shiny silver metal tables, a decent sized bar, and a chalk board listing all of the beer they have on tap...and the selection was pretty impressive. The main dining area is of average size, but there is a nice patio on the left side of the building, too.

On my visit, I had a North Peak Wanderer (serving size options were 10 and 16 ounce mugs). They also had beers from North Coast, Rivertown, Bell's, and some other greats.

Our server was excellent, and was excited to tell us who had never been all about the place. Apparently, Swig makes their own sausages and dogs, as well as cures their own bacon!

So, to try both housemade dog and bacon, I went with their Cleveland Dog (check it out on the menu online). They had some sausage platters, hand cut fries (with chipotle mayo), and a specialty Scotch egg.

For a bar/restaurant, this place has it all. Awesome food, and an excellent tap lineup to match. I wish I still lived in Toledo, because this would be a regular stop for me. If you are in the area, this place is worth seeking out.

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Myself and BA member Thanby (below) were looking for a brewpub in the Toledo area, but we found the next best (better) thing! The food is awesome and the service is outstanding. I've tried 4 different sausages and loved them all. There are about 15 taps and a few of them rotate. Their bottle selection is loooong. They have tastings and events from time to time that have an amazing turnout.

If you are traveling around this area make time to stop in!

Stopped here on a trip to Toledo, and we decided to make it a regular stop every time we are in that area.

Small storefront with a little u-shaped bar in the back middle. Excellent selection on tap, I think it was about fifteen taps total, all of them micros, most of them were the less common kinds.

Being a charcuterie the big part of their menu is hand-made sausages served in very creative ways. The ones my friend and I sampled were absolutely delicious. The sweet potato fries are also very good.

For a specialty sausage, fries and a pint, the total was right around $10, which is excellent for how good the food is.

I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. It's just off the highway and easy to find. We're going to make a point of paying a visit every time we pass by in the future.

Went to Swigs for the first time tonight and I couldn't be happier to have this place in my hometown. There are very, very few bars in the Toledo area that carry a nice selection of craft beer, but now we have Swig.

The atmosphere is pleasant, but nothing special. The tables are reminiscent of a cheap diner, the bar is nice but plain. Nevertheless, this is more than compensated for by the friendliness of the staff and the selection of craft beers.

On this night, I sampled the GI Matilda and New Holland Dragon's Milk. The taps change frequently with Founder's, GI, and Great Lakes regularly making the rotation.

I thoroughly look forward to my next trip to see what surprises await me at Swig.

Swig in Perrysburg, Ohio is becoming a must stop place in northwest Ohio. They have 19 taps and rotate them quite often. Some of the beers that they have had recently include Arrogant Bastard, GL Black Out Stout, Old Rasputin, Breckinridge Avalanche, Founder's Porter, Nugget Nectar, Expedition Stout, and GI Winter Mild.

Swig's food offerings include their own house made sausages, smoked turkey legs, and the signature cheddar and bratwurst soup. The prices on the sausages range from $1.50- $4.00 range. The french fries are a house cut shoe string style served with homemade ketchup.

Toledo people, come out to Perrysburg and enjoy a beer and sausage at Swig.

Swig is located in downtown Perrysburg. The atmosphere lies somewhere between beach house and diner. Stainless steel topped tables are at the front of the well lit room, and a three-sided cube shaped bar sits at the back. Patio seating is available on the north side. (The room's yellow hue may be the reason I think beach)

Swig is a charcuterie. That's right, they make their sausage in house. Choices include hot dogs (chicago style), bratwurst, kielbasa, smoked kielbasa, hot italian, sweet italian, and more. They also hand cut their fries and sweet potato fries, and make hand breaded onion rings. They also do a reverse buffalo wing (ranch spiced served with dipping sauces). Prices are very reasonable, damn near cheap for the quality of food they serve.

Swig has 19 taps. Almost all are from craft brewers. 19 doesn't sound that impressive, but in northwest Ohio, that qualifies as a beer mecca. Great Lakes, Bells, and Victory were among the taps. They plan to rotate lots of seasonals through the line-up.

I dig swig.
