Atlas has a moderate beer selection. As for craft brews, they have a pretty decent selection of six packs. Very few bombers and single bottles, just the standard Chimay, Duvel, Lambics, but that's about it. It is a good place to go if you want to grab a couple of six packs of a local micro brews while stocking up for a party. They have a pretty big wine selection and a large selection of higher end liquor, especially whiskey, tequilla, and rums.

Overall this is my go to place when it comes to reasonably priced everyday beer purchases. If I'm looking for something specific or special I probably will go somewhere else.

Since I literally live within walking distance of this place, and have been going in there since I was a child, I feel it deserves a review. Quality is most of the time pretty good, although I would beware. There have been a few occasions where I have had to return beer that had quite obviously gone bad. You might also find very old stuff (which can be a good or bad thing). For example, I saw a six pack of Victory Prima Pils thats freshness date was late by a year. On the other hand, I was in there the other night and found a bottle of 3 Philosophers from 2005 sitting in the back of their freezer. Service is okay. Some people are nice, while others are real jerks. I had one guy tell me that the recycle machine wouldn't take my hop wallop bottles because they don't carry it, and that I was intentionally clogging up the machine. Hop Wallop has been arriving every winter at Atlas for a few years (you can find it there now actually, fuck him). Selection is pretty damn good, with brews from Allagash, Ommegang, Ipswich, Concord, Magic Hat, Smuttynose, Gearys, Rogue, Oskar Blues and a few others. Value is a steal...where else can you find a big bottle of Westmalle Triple for nine or ten bucks? Will continue going there probably till im dead.

I live about 2 miles from this place so it is a place that I go to often. When you walk in head all the way to the back, that's where the beer is. They have some great beers but do lack in the Belgian department. Allagash and Unibroe are all at a great price. A solid selection of New England Micros as well as German beer. The prices for most things are some of the best in the area. The wine selection is very large as well and has some of the lowest prices for fine wines in the area.

Worth the stop. Check it out.

This store is located on Mystic Ave. about a half mile south of Medford Center. This is a rather large liquor store, with most of the store devoted to wine. They do, however, have a good selection of beer. They had the most varieties of Unibroue that I have seen in the area. Many warm and cold beers available. You can also buy singles. Hard for me to judge service, but the cashier was helpful and responded well when one of my bottles would not scan. They had a police officer station outside the front door (??). Definitely worth a stop to see what they might have.

a couple of friends who live down the street from atlas convinced me to skip my usual stop in scenic allston @ marty's and blanchard's for this place. sure, it saved me some time, but i still prefer the latter two stores. the selection at atlas is very good, but pretty standard for a good boston area beer store. the singles selection was average, the warm beer selection was pretty good and the cold stuff was, as i said, nothing ground breaking for where it was. the cashier knew his brews, too, which is always a bonus.
