Beer find from the Grocery Outlet for $2.99 a six pack I'm not out much if I don't like it.

Pale yellow colored beer with a surprisingly tall white colored head. Looks like a Macro Lager with a little extra.

Smells slightly sweet and corny with some grassy grain aromas. Cooked cereal scent is fairly strong and I am reminded a bit of a bowl of Malt o'meal from when I was a kid.

Starts out neutral and a little on the dry side. Macro lager taste with a toasted grain aftertaste.

Mouthfeel is about what you would expect from a Budweiser.

Overall just an OK beer. Worth it's quite tiny cost.

I've been through rough financial times, and they're certainly not over yet. This beer is definitely a high-point in the lowlands of bargain lagers.

The price point is really the seller here, but the fact that it's actually a quite drinkable beer is a huge help. When I was picking these up, they were $2.99 a six-pack, which is quite reasonably-priced for water, yeast, barley and hops poured into an aluminum can. There's absolutely nothing special about this other than the fact that it's so cheap, yet so normal.

I'd put it slightly above Budweiser or Coors, way above MGD, and just a tiny bit below Miller High Life in a can. The taste is fizzy and, well, "beer-tasting". Nothing fancy or complicated here, and it doesn't have a hideous aftertaste like many cheapie brews do.

If you're trying to scrape pennies together, this is a superior choice, and even at the current price at Grocery Outlet ($3.35/pack), it's still quite reasonable. It would probably make a decent beer pong substitute for those who want to take a baby step away from stuff like Keystone and Natural, but it's definitely a step down from nice craft beers.

As a bargain-basement beer, this is hard to beat. I'd still rather pick up a 30-pack of High Life for $16 out the door over this, but it is definitely a bit tastier than Miller's offerings. I'd love to see it drop back down to the $0.50 a serving price before taxes, but it does deserve a bit more credit that being low-end, bottom-of-the-barrel swill.

Seems alot like most of the big name, commercial, international "American beers" that are popular. Appearance is that of colored water and the taste is the same but with a hint of lager beer. I'd still take this one over any of those mega beers any day simply because of how cheap it is. It's not a beer you drink for the sake of enjoying a good beer, because mouthfeel and smell is not quite what you'd expect of a true beer, but it's one you drink because you are hot, thirsty, craving a beer, and don't want something with full flavor. You can find these for as cheap as $2.99 a six pack. For that price I say it's probably worth it, especially for get toghethers with people who are used to the mega beers.

355ml can. Another seemingly re-branded clone for the style and the sorry-ass brewery contracted by this soulless marketing agency. Also, they seem to be in (probably clueless) cahoots with the Liquor Depot chain in Alberta to break the law, as far as ABV labeling is concerned. Good thing our local liquor board did the legwork here - a middling 4.5%, it would seem.

This beer pours a somewhat hazy medium golden straw colour, with two fingers of puffy, foamy, bubbly off-white head, which leaves some streaky alien alphabet lace around the glass as it surprisingly lingers in its ebbing out of existence.

It smells of grainy, stale hay bales, hollow lemon cleanser, and old partially melted plastic toy soldiers. The taste is semi-sweet corny, grainy malt, a touch of stale cereal, underwhelmingly pithy, bland citrus fruit, admittedly tame stewed veggies, and a lingering, and mostly obtrusive petrochemical essence.

The carbonation is present, perfunctory, and little else, the body barely above the light side of things, weight-wise, and smooth with a rather ungainly, well, white noise nothingness. It finishes just off-dry, the sweet, corn-fed graininess and now established vegetal skank really offering nothing more than what you should rightly imagine.

Not the worst example of the style, I suppose, but it shows enough of the 'standard' attributes to make me gag just a tad, and pushing forward, does nothing for beerdom, or likewise my stomach, as a whole.

It's pretty much a nice, average lager, with no discernible issues. I purchased it because I like Lagers, and the price point was a no-brainer at Grocery Outlet for $3 per Six. No reason not to keep buying this as a lie-around-the-house-post-soccer beer.

Keep in mind, I'm judging this against beers of it's ilk.

Appearance is a golden straw color with a healthy white head and spotty lace. Smell has a sweet grainy clean adjunct with a light floral hop aroma. Taste of a tangy sweetness in the grain having a good balance with the hops, leaving a dry finish in the end. Mouthfeel is light with good carbonation. Actually not a bad adjunct lager thats easy going and very drinkable.

6 pack cans from Grocery Outlet, Salem. $3.29 Pale yellow..with a large and long lasting white frothy head. Aroma slightly papery, hay and cereal. Not too bad though. Taste sweet malts a bit of cereal and thats about it..doesnt sound too good but its pretty acceptable for a bottom rung lager. Actually OK on the palate as there is no awful after taste like many cheap American lagers have. Im judgeing by style and this really isnt that bad for the price.
