I got a 12pack for 4.99 at wholefoods

Pours straight yellow it's the color of pee after you drank beer and ate pizza it looks like it going to lace then doesn't

Smell: it smells like the Midwest: corn, grain, straw and it almost try's to smell hoppy but fails

Taste: alfalfa, sour in a good way, sweet bread actually kinda nice

Mouthfeel: stinging carbonation and syrup like after, goes down easy

Overall: this surprised me I am in no way going to take a road trip to find this beer but if I opened up an ice chest at a family BBQ and saw this I would be very happy... A very good value at 4.99

12 ounce can purchased at Whole Foods in Yonkers, NY

Pours super light and clear. Minor near white head.

Next to no nose, minor flavor, I guess the buzz words on the can- "origional, genuine, traditional old style brew" means, no smell, no flavor, no interest and no redeaming qualities.

Oh well, I didn't have high hopes for the quality of this one.

Poured from just under an inch or so above the glass gave this clear straw golden colored beer a medium to big white head that quickly died into a less than average or impressive lacing.

Light almost sour grain malt with lighter grass and yeast aroma.

The taste is also sour grain malt with slight traces of yeast and bitter hops.

A dry aftertaste with a slight sour bite to it.

This light bodied beer isn't much to brag about other than it's cheap and it's beer.

The only thing good about it is that it's slightly better than Copper Bell Light Beer, lol.

Pours a light gold with a mound of frothy head. Smells of faint corn and adjunct with very, very faint hop notes. Taste is smooth graininess followed by a mellow hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is crisp and refreshing.

For an adjunct it's not awful. I've had worse.

Pale yellow and clear, with lots of carbonation. Spotty lace.

Malty, grainy aroma. Adjuncts.

Watery mouthfeel. Taste is sweet, inoffensive, and light. A little biscuit undertone. Not a terrible lager, but neither is it outstanding. I'd say, a decent summertime session beer, and a decent value at $6.99/12pk at Whole Foods.

Poured into a Perfect Pint. Fourth or fifth can from the 12-pack bought at Whole Foods for 7.99. Indicates Rochester, NY on the can, so I am thinking this private label brand was brewed by Genesee.

A=Light, pale straw, similar to other adjunct lagers, but perhaps lighter than average. Head was 2+ fingers but fell within a minute or so.

S=Faint aroma of corn and hops.

T=Reminiscent of a cream ale--creamy and sweet presence.

M=Without a doubt, the most drinkable beer that I can remember. Very little carbonation and smooth taste to boot. That said, I have tried this with pizza and grilled meat, and it did not go well with either.

O=A true session beer good for drinking by itself. I would drink this beer again, but not likely to purchase it again, as I typically drink beer with a meal and this just does not complement food that well.

Copper Bell has a very thick, soapy, stark-white head with a decent amount of thick lacing and a mostly clear yellow-golden appearance, with a presence of fine particulate matter. The aroma is of sweet, wet hay and grain, and the flavor is of barley, grain, a dash of hops, and there is some bite to it. Mouthfeel is very light and watery, and Copper Bell finishes fairly crisp, refreshing, and easy drinking. For someone on a tight budget, it’s okay, otherwise it’s only average.

RJT.

I needed some drinking beer for the 'big game' this weekend, since I probably won't be paying much attention to either. I'm a Jet fan, so it's all about the food and commercials for me. I picked up a twelver of this nonsense at Whole foods in Cary for about seven bucks, so even if it's intolerable, it's pretty cheap.

Ridiculously pale, clear hue is saved somewhat by a big, fresh, foamy white head, which promptly dies as I write this. Seriously, it's completely gone. I don't type that slowly. Lace is decent. Nose is inoffensive basic grains.

Taste is similar. Some real standard malt and noble hops, but it's all kind of watered down and mushy and lacking any real substance of any kind. It does finish clean and is reasonably smooth. I would honestly say the biggest flavor is the carbonation. This is bland for a light beer. The label says "traditional old style brew". Apparently taste was optional back in the day or the label is full of shit.

Still, for a nothing macro, it is good in that it lacks badness. Within this crappy style, this is okay.

Copper Bell Lager is a simple American Lager, brewed with next to no hops and corn adjuncts. It has light frothy foam with sticky lace and a warmer-than-expected mouthfeel.

In general, this is a summer griling beer. I wouldn't hesitate to cook with it, or have a can after working in the yard - that kind of beer.

What got me was the $7 per 12 pack price point at Whole Food. This is less than Miller Lite, and less than the 6ers of most beers. Clearly, for the price, this is a MUCH better beer. Still not something I would want on a Friday evening, but in general it's a little above average.

This is going to be a short review. Poured from can into a pint glass. Looks like a typical adjunct lager. Smells like a typical adjunct. Tastes like crap. Taste like water would actually be a better way to put it. Feels like water. Had about 1/5 of can before i drain poured the rest.

Poured from 12oz can into a pint glass.

Appearance: light straw hue with a clear body and a good effervescence. Head poured a finger of frothy white foam but dissipated rather quickly.

Smell: light and sweet with a somewhat plastic-like adjunct-ey aroma thrown in. Even for the style it's not terribly appetizing.

Taste: light malt with a lot less of that plastic-ey character from the aroma. Some noble hop character leads to a light but present bitterness. Plain but not bad.

Mouthfeel: light body but with a huge, huge carbonation. Creaminess abounds here!

Overall: don't love the smell, but the big frothy mouthfeel makes up for it. Halfway decent.

Not much to say on this one. It's a cheap lager. It looks like a cheap lager. Tastes like a cheap lager. Has the mouth feel of a cheap lager. If you pour it into a cheap glass you will discover the head of a cheap lager. For $7.99 a 12-pack you can't really expect any better.

If you are looking for a better beer you'll have to pay a better beer price. While I didn't enjoy this beer necessarily it is exactly what you should expect.

Well this beer doesn't suck as much as the Copper Light. This one has a strong malty sweetness to it, but it still works in its own way. Absolutely no distinct character beyond the malty sweet thing, but makes for an easily drinkable beer, if the sweetness doesn't bother you.

Can purchased from the bargain singles section of Whole Foods in Los Altos, CA.

Pours a flat, light and extremely clear yellow. Yes, yes, urine is what it looks like. The frothy white on the top could also be the product of a particularly enthusiastic pee, foaming and pungent as it looks. Lacing is patchy, but solid enough. Pretty decent body to it, actually. Eh.

Nose is clean, but slightly sweet with corn adjuncts. There's perhaps the slight clean note of some greenery suggesting some kind of hop addition (at least waving it over the kettle at some point). It's bright and clear, but very generic indeed.

Taste is non-existent. Really, it's so bland and light as to be almost like drinking slightly carbonated water. A little husky sweetness on the back, perhaps—in a clean, nothing way. Really, it's so lame, so flavourless. Feel is light as well, making you wonder whether you're actually drinking anything.

Drinkable in that way dishwater is drinkable. You could if you had to, but why would you want to?

Pale yellow with a thick 1.5 finger head,

Slight citrus, DMS, grain.

Slightly sweet, grain, a hint of hops, a bit more bitter on the finish than most AALs. More sweet than I like in the style.

Thin bodied, highly effervescent.

A decent example of the style, I like it more than PBR but less than Stroh's.

I happened upon this beer in a relatively popular gourmet market. I'd never seen it before, and the price was right so I purchased it. Everyone hates to sound cliche, and go so far to say that they are going to be cliche before they are but, you get what you pay for. Not a terrible take on an American Lager, but by no means a great one. It was one note, an average run of the mill lager note, almost reminded me of the dos equis lager, but much cheaper to buy. Perfect for throwing in an ice chest and heading to a park with a bunch of buds, but in terms of enjoying a well crafted complex brew, not here my friends.
