A: Dull dark gold. Greyish head. Good lacing.
S: Vinous, green grapes, strong Liebfraumilch and ginger.
T: Immediately I get prickly ginger plus Liebfraumilch but it dies after a second and you're left with a very flat tasting pale ale with an element of cardboard.
O: Weird. Most insipid.

Standard 12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass. Shows a lightly hazed deep golden with perhaps a hint of copper. Light cap of white foam shows typical and average retention.
Aroma is muddled with some caramel and old hops. Indistinct from all fronts and warming doesn't help a lot if at all. Reminds me of the house beers at BevMo and might well be the same. Likely has some stressed yeast issues/underpitching.
Taste follows with a smooth and lightly carbonated delivery, touch of caramel malt and a very light hop delivery. Touch too malty yet without a balancing hop characer. Obvious house beer quality and previously seen at Ralph's/Kroger if I recall correctly. Brightens a bit on the feel with some spritzy, at times, carbonation. Lackluster finish. Boring and a bit harsh overall.
