This was a brown lager that the menu described as being the first of its kind. The brew looked great, brown and clear with small bubbly white head. Smelled kind of fruity with some caramel aromas - not as clean as I would expect for a Lager. Taste was much the same with the fruitiness just being too much for the style. But it did have some caramel and brown malt flavors with just a small hint of chocolate. If it wasn't for the fruity aromas and flavors this would be totally awesome.

Had on tap at Watch City 1/3
Served in a pint glass
A: This beer pours a clear, darker brown with ruby highlights around the edges. A 1/2 inch of light brown head tops this beer. Head recedes quickly leaving spider webbed lacing on the glass.
S: Nose is dark malts, some toasty notes, light chocolate.
T: Taste starts toasty and dark. Tons of dark malts mingled with light chocolate notes and a fruity sweetness. Some minor burnt notes and a bit of a hop bite come in during the finish.
M: Medium body, medium carbonation, slight and oily feel.
D: Goes down easily, pretty tasty, not too filling, mild kick, and ok representation of style.
