Nose: Wet earth or manure, lactose sourness, dark chocolate and roasted malt. Taste: Creamy malt, dark fruits, manurey citrus and dark chocolate bitterness. Finish: Mild bitter chocolate and barley sweetness with a nice linger. Body: Medium and creamy, leaves a nice lace on the pint glass but barely any head. Nice beer, flavours of a Old Ale and a body of a ESB the colour is right in the middle, dark rich copper. I would like a higher % to cellar a few bottles

Look: The beer is pitch black and the lower-end is brown. You can see through that brown foot. Upon pouring the beer into the glass, you will see a thin film, which will dissipates very quickly in favour of a crown on the sides and some lacings on the top.
Smell: The aromas were not aggressive. You could smell the black currants and the coffee.
Taste: The palate introduces us to black currants with a toned down sweetness, which is not a bad thing. Afterwards, I tasted coffee made from newly ground grains. It is almost like a stout without the hints of dark chocolate or caramel. Although the label mentioned the presence of notes of black licorice, I didn't taste it.
Feel: The beer is soft and creamy on our tongue. Moreover, it is an easy drinking beer because of its fruitiness on the front-end and its taste of coffee on the back-end.
Overall: It is a very ambitious beer. The look could be improved with a better carbonation and a formation of a resilient head. Despite its flaws, Dark & Handsome has nice flavours.

dark dark clear amber. two- three fingers of light brown head. retains well.
smells leathery, black currant, burnt grains, black liquorice. rye bread.
taste is roasted malts, charcoal, ashy, espresso beans, nice stout like flavours. bit of liquorice again. bitter at the end. a bit metallic.
overall this is a really nice drink. coming in like a porter stout combine. really heavy on the sweet roasty malts and strong bitter finish. also very easy drinking and smooth. Have to say, i enjoy this a lot. Well worth your time. lots of char goodness. definitely will get a few more.
