On tap at the brewery
Look- pours a cola brown with a tan head
Smell- roasted malt, oats
Taste- more of the same. Roasted malt and oats
Feel- medium bodied
Overall- ok. Not much here except roasted malt and oats. Depends on what you are in the mood for. Pretty much their midnight oil without the coffee.

A: single finger head, milk chocolate head. Black color with no light getting through.
S: smoke and roast
T: toasty, toffee and roast with oat notes and nice malt flavor in the background. Coffee notes are in the taste but no so much in the aroma.
M: smoothest stout I have had to date. Medium to thick body with moderate carbonation.
Overall: This is an excellent tasting stout with the standard aroma and aroma but it excels in the mouthfeel.

On-tap at the brewery. In the pint glass a very dark brown with a thin ring of lace. Smell: mild roast, dark chocolate, mild earthy hopping, and a little oat. Taste: toffee, lots of dark chocolate, solid earthy and citric hopping, moderate roasted grain. Medium-plus bodied. Creamy, silky feel. There's some alcohol in this, certainly more than the coffee stout, but not sure how much. Really nice.

On tap at the tasting room.
Pours a viscous black with no head and very little lacing. This beer is about as black as they get, no brown or read highlights.
Smell and taste were near identical. There was a smoky roastiness, like you get from a really dark roast coffee, but without the actual coffee flavors. There was also a nice chocolate in the background as well.
Very thick body, with carbonation on the lower end of the scale. Leaves a nice coating on the palette.
Overall I really enjoyed this beer, the slight smokiness along with the rich mouthfeel and flavors made it really easy to enjoy.
