Old school Massachusetts style packie. Lots of liquor and wine a plenty of 30 packs. They do have a pretty good selection of craft beers, in fact they had a few labels I didn't see at Colonial earlier that day. Service was non existent, I wandered around unaccosted for 20 minutes checking out the selection. I did find a bit of out of code beers, and the stuff on the discount racks is not really all that discounted and some being several years old. Pricing seemed to be inline for the area. Good enough selection to stop if in the area, but doesn't warrant a trip from afar.

This is my go to store. They honestly carry the best selection of craft beer in the area. If you do not see something ask and they will do the best they can to get it. Anthony is the beer manager and he is very knowledgeable and always helpful when he is in the store. He is also great at responding to emails. The prices are the best you will find. They usually have a menu of tasting dates where you can go and try beers you may never had before and even taste with the person who made the beer. All around wonderful store.

Compared to the large wholesaler type store this one is great. They pay attention to their bottle selection, the prices are decent, and none of this you must buy 6 or 12 or 18 bottles to get a better price. The price is what the price is so I appreciate that. They know a lot about the beer they carry and carry a wide variety of breweries and styles, so don't be ashamed to ask for recommendations on things you haven't tried yet. Only complaint is the location, as they parking lot is one of the most vicious parking lots I have ever been in, and the 20 Minute Parking Only signs everywhere prohibit you from an hour long beer buying journey.

A decent place tucked into a min-strip mall. After work, or on a weekend, parking is a huge challenge. Store has a big wine section and a good spot for craft brews. A cooler for brew in the back, and another on the side with singles and some bombers. Nice to see some stuff that is normally warm presented to you cold. Some random beer stored everywhere -- so you need to poke around a bit.

Beer moves around here, and it is well taken care of.

Had some problems ringing in cards, but they were really cool about it. Not overly pushy if you are just looking. Will ask to help, then leave you alone. Nice tasting counter.

Some standards and rarities, and novelties. Nice to see a decent selection. Good belgians, barleywines. OK german selection. Browsing you will always find something of interest.

Some beers on sale, prices are competitive. A good overall stop (if you can park!).

I've been here a number of times so I felt it was time to write a review.

First off, it's a pretty large place with what appears to be a large wine/spirits collection. There is a lot of beer, however it seems to be a total afterthought. There is very little organization to the beer selection. There is one long aisle that contains warm singles and 4/6pks, then there is a large cooler at the back with more selection. Then there is a smaller cooler with more selection kind of hiding in another room. There are cases of various brews in this separate room and also another small shelf of more random singles. Finally there are small wooden display stands with more random things (found one that had a bunch of Stone, one small metal rack had a bunch of Southern Tier, etc). You basically have to wander around the store for a while to see everything. It feels like they start expanding their beer selection and didn't have any place to put it so they just started throwing it in random places. Not a REAL problem but it is annoying.

Prices were quite a bit higher than most places, and their discount stops at 6 singles for 10% which is even worse. Most places have a 12+ for 15% off or even 24+ for 20% off.

The place doesn't seem that popular because the selection doesn't seem to have shifted much in the few months I've gone there. There is a lot of old stock on the shelves too, I saw some discontinued brews that were last brewed 1 or 2 years prior. Lots of dust too.

I rated the service as average because while everyone seems friendly, I never once had anyone ask me if I needed anything or stop to chat beer or anything of that sort. Maybe the resident beer guy was never around when I was but I found that a little strange.

This place doesn't seem to have any appreciable web presence. No beer list on their website, no sort of updates about arrivals that I can see.

Overall, not a bad place at all, their selection is pretty good if you wander around long enough and the prices aren't too horrible. Just missing a lot of factors that make some other places in the area truly special.

Long known as the go-to place in the area for a wide and excellent wine selection, this place has expanded and added an impressive selection of beers. In addition to their Saturday afternoon wine tastings, they have added a weekly beer tasting 4:30-6:30 on Fridays.

The store features a large selection of New England brewed beers as well as a whole aisle of domestic and foreign craft beers. The large selection might be a bit confusing. Ask for Brian - he can talk for hours about beer, and he WILL find a beer that you will like, guaranteed!

This store has a huge selection of beers both from around the United States and really nice selection of imports from Europe.

the service is pretty good, i was there on a sunday so there was nobody on the floor asking if you needed assistance, but the guy behind the counter seemed knowledgeable and friendly. the beer manager had also held an Imperial stout tropper for a friend of mine.

the beers they have on the shelf are fresh and the prices are very reasonable. definitely check this store out if you are in the area.

The new expanded store has an extensive selection of beer, both ordinary and extraordinary. The usual collection of American dishwater has been pushed to one side and 2/3 of the cooler in the back is filled with nicer offerings from local breweries and national micros and craft brews.

Their is a full aisle of warm craft brews from around the country as well as a few from Europe. There is also an entirely new cooler of oversize craftbrew offerings right behind the new tasting bar.

The new beer guy (Brian) runs a tasting every Friday afternoon. He's very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. He likes to showcase the strong and the unusual.

I go to the store just about every week and I never come away disappointed. It's great to have this local asset.

If you live in the area definitely check this place out again. They expanded the store and hired a new beer guy about 18 months ago. The cold selection is ok, but they have done an exceptional job with the warm "specialty" beer section. The section has grown to be pretty large, very diverse, and full of high quality beers. Many of the beers have beeradvocate.com ratings, with style notes attached to the shelf. The beer guy there is slowly changing the tags so they have style notes that he wrote along with BA ratings.

I had not been in there for a long time when i stopped by a few days ago, and was surprised to see the beer selection and notes, but the service was surprising also. I talked with the beer guy and he was very knowledgeable, and could offer suggestions on many different styles of beer. He stopped by a few times to see if we had any questions while i was looking through the beers. He also indicated the because of the success they are having with beer they may continue to expand the selection.
