Presentation: 750 ml. magnum, poured into trappist glass.
Appearance: Faintly hazy gold with an orange hue. Pours with a moderate-sized head which fastly fades, probably due to the beer's high alcohol content. Some lacing is present.
Aroma: Elements of buttery diacetyl with sweet apricots and some clove-like notes. Toffee-like malts mix with citrusy hops and a musky Belgian yeast. The beer's overall aroma is somewhat tarnished by a green bottled skunk-like funk, but not too badly.
Taste: Upfront smoothness with creamy mouthfeel. Sweet nectarine/apricot notes and bready malts mix with citrusy hops and cloves. The alcohol is rather subdued for being 11% ABV. The carbonation is rather vibrant and the beer has a nice, dry, tart finish.
Overall: A masterpiece of its style. This is one of the best Belgian golden ales I've had in a while. This beer is packed with flavor and complexities - definitely recommened for Belgian lovers.

Stubby bottle in a similar shape to other Belgian brews. Pretty uninteresting label.
Light golden colour body with bleached white head. Head fades quickly to a ring around the edge of the glass and an island in the middle. Considering not much head is left it clings to the glass admirably.
Sounds like a barbecue that is almost ready to cook on.
Corn, bread, orange, apple and banana aromas are all quite subtle and not putting up much of a fight to come through.
Quite spicy, bitter, lemon, apricot and some banana flavours.
Possibly too lively feels overly carbonated to me.
Overall in my view not that great.

A: served in a chalice. light golden in color, or maybe just blond.
S: some yeast, citrus and a hint of hop.
T: wow. one of the best experience i've had with a beer. not only is the Kasteel blond a pleasure to drink, it's complexity tingles the senses. With a slightly sweet front, the beer gives way to a cornucopia of flavor. Banana, hop, with a perfect finish.
M: medium carbonation. Really a pleasure.
O: I've seen some reviews of this beer out of the bottle, which I cannot say I've tried. The times I've experienced it, the beer came from a tap. Given that qualifier, this is one of the best beers I have ever had. I would recommend to anyone. It's like a Leffe Blond on steroids.
