750ml bottled 12/06
This triple is a rich glowing golden with delicate carbonation rising from my goblet. It holds a creamy white head.
Complex nose presents a bouquet of citrus and Belgian spice with aromas of ripe tropical fruits.
The taste does not disappoint. This is a fantastic triple that is deep with exotic fruits, peppery alcohol and earthy spices. It just lacks the balance that some more traditional versions have dialed in. Other than that, this is a near perfect beer.
A full body is creamy yet crisp to the palate. I could drink this all night as the 11% is practically undetectable. Considering how good their quadruple is, I can't beleive it took me so long to try this. One of the best triples in the world.

Stubby bottle in a similar shape to other Belgian brews. Pretty uninteresting label.
Light golden colour body with bleached white head. Head fades quickly to a ring around the edge of the glass and an island in the middle. Considering not much head is left it clings to the glass admirably.
Sounds like a barbecue that is almost ready to cook on.
Corn, bread, orange, apple and banana aromas are all quite subtle and not putting up much of a fight to come through.
Quite spicy, bitter, lemon, apricot and some banana flavours.
Possibly too lively feels overly carbonated to me.
Overall in my view not that great.

A: served in a chalice. light golden in color, or maybe just blond.
S: some yeast, citrus and a hint of hop.
T: wow. one of the best experience i've had with a beer. not only is the Kasteel blond a pleasure to drink, it's complexity tingles the senses. With a slightly sweet front, the beer gives way to a cornucopia of flavor. Banana, hop, with a perfect finish.
M: medium carbonation. Really a pleasure.
O: I've seen some reviews of this beer out of the bottle, which I cannot say I've tried. The times I've experienced it, the beer came from a tap. Given that qualifier, this is one of the best beers I have ever had. I would recommend to anyone. It's like a Leffe Blond on steroids.
