Poured from a 37.5cl bottle into an Allagash flute.

The color is slightly hazy orange/gold with three fingers of foamy brownish head ans some thick lacing left on the glass.

The smell is a little sweet with some fruity esters. Sour aroma in the nose with a slight bananas cherries. There is some Bretty funk that is bringing some of that barnyard flavor out as well.

The taste is sweet at first with a candy-like zing that speeds past my tongue. There is some slight hint of a bready flavor there in the middle that is trying to pass by unnoticed among some sourness that is quite pleasing. Sour-patch kids come to mind as the sour flavor mixes with touches of dry apple, pear, and a slight lemon flavor. There is some tartness there toward the back that makes me pucker a bit as I enjoy the sour funk.

The feel of this beer is smooth and pretty drinkable with a nice medium body that is feels like sour silk, smooth with a little crisp dry finish.

375ml bottle poured into Goose Island stemmed glass

Appearance: Pours a dark golden orange with 1+ finger of a white head that settles to a medium cap and collar. Body is lightly hazy with moderate visible carbonation.

Smell: Funk, green apple, musty,

Taste: Lemon, barnyard funk, pear, just a hint of oak.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with high lively carbonation. Finishes dry.

Overall: Pretty nice gueuze. It doesn't measure up to Cantillon, 3F and some others, but considering the low price point (I think I got this for $3.99 per bottle) this is a great budget gueuze.

Served in a Prairie teku

A - pours a hazy amber with chunk sediment. A timed white cap of foam sits on top.

S - funky, salty, minerals, soured fruit- apricots, white grapes, apples, strawberries, musty lemons

T - sour and salty permeate the palate, lemon and raspberry follow, acidic funk, soured stone fruit, the malts are encompassed with sour fruit and the beer finishes bright and snappy.

M - light body, light to medium carbonation, acidic mineral finish.

Bright, acidic, and funky character that blends well with the yeasty malts. This beer has has a strong presence of soured fruit. A nice example of my favorite style of beer.

Pours a orangish brown with minimal head and immediately dissipating lace. Aroma of damp hay, grape must, bready yeasts. Sourness is actually quite pleasant, theres an earthy dankness I can't quite get around, something like mushrooms having absorbed to much moisture. This taste gains in strength as the beer sits a little while. The crispness is refreshing, this beer is quite dry.
