Picked up a 2013 vintage of this for just 6 bucks into an imperial pint. Pour was very dark almost like a Flanders brown ale but even at 9 years this beer still had some carbonation. Smell is very fruit forward obviously Heavy raspberry almost candy like but again pretty one dimensional. Thankfully the taste is more tart and balanced good deep fruit flavor juicy and bright as ever with no off putting flavors due to good storage and a dark bottle. Crisp body very easy drink ability it made me want to go back and see if they had any more bottles for sale!

From notes taken 04/22/17:

My last Framboise was almost two years ago, such a treat!

Very deep copper, darker than brandy, essentially ruby in indirect light. Clear upon first pour, second pour is full of small black chunks but no less clear, third is a solid, opaque grayish brown, not really purple or pink or red. Light pinkish beige head of delicate fluff. Not as purple as certain other Framboise Lambics. Aroma packed with raspberry, but on the sweet side, as opposed to tart, so like blackberries as well. Palate is a little more tart with raspberry, white grape, fuji apple, but also somewhat “fishy” on first couple sips. Could be the fact that this is an old bottle, or could just be a feature here. In any case, it is mostly gone upon saturation of the palate, and possibly “off-gassing”. Whoah, and I just got a chunk of raspberry (or at least something of that same consistency and texture soaked in raspberry). I don’t know if that is standard or not, but it was a surprise in something this clear (first pour). The third pour into a small flute is extra tart, must be more actual fruit in it, but no more chunks really, it’s more pulverized than that one I got before. Light bodied for first two pours, but a perfect medium on the third, a creamy feel on all pours, with low tingly carbonation and an acidic chalky dryness at the finish.
