A Belgian pale strong ale apparently...with the strength of a tripel. Bottle shape is like Chouffe, label is a bit boring ; )

It contains wheat, which usually I am not a fan of, but let's see. Deep dark pilsner colour, average head with some big bubbles in. Sweet malty banananey aroma, not much hops.

Very strong bananaey wheat flavour. Very sweet also. Strong alcohol content obviously, and kind of heavy to drink. If I drank 3 of these, I would likely fall asleep or go to a strip club.

I don't really like the taste, and the mouth-feel is a little bit complex, yet also kind of overtly effervescent. I'm just not a fan of the bananaeyness or the sweetness of wheat beers...or the heaviness...they are difficult to drink fast ; ) At least this has 9% alcohol, so respect.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe (£3.29):
Very clear with a light amber body & thin, bubbly white head o. Top just about covering the whole surface initially too. Floral hops, some yeast & light fruits then an earthy bitterness further on, maybe some biscuit notes without it being too strong. It's just as floral tasting with orange peel, light spices & pepper alongside a subtle funky taste & hints of warming, boozy alcohol flavours. I got some Belgian yeast & apples right at the end too. It's medium bodied, dry & boozy with a nice balance & fine carbonation too.

Pours a clear golden color with a big top of white creamy head that dissolves at a fast pace and leaves some sticky lacings on the glass. The aroma is of bread, apples, citrus, honey, cloves, and flowers. The flavour is sweet and fruity upfront with some light malts in the back. The flavour then gets more dry with a peppery and herbal feel. The finish is slightly bitter with a decent length on the aftertaste. The carbonation is high with a medium body and with a crisp and clean mouthfeel.
A good tasting and enjoyable beer. Not extremely exiting, but enjoyable for sure.

From the bottle, it pours a darker golden color with a nice head, replenished by large bubbles coming up from the bottom. Nose is caressed bread and yeast. Mouth gets a bit of cider, some malt and some alcohol. Easy to drink, beware!

A nutty, yeasty morsel from my favorite Top 10 Belgian brewery.
I defer to MJ's "Guide": "lots of Saaz hoppiness and some yeast bite." He gave it 2.5
