330ml. bottle in Vientiane, Laos. Pours a clear gold. Aroma light floral, grain, soapy. Tastes slightly bitter, slightly hoppy. Light and mild. O.k. but expected something more pronounced rom a "hoppy" beer.

Shared bottle at local tasting. Pale golden colour. Aroma of grassy hops, hints of urine. Grassy hops in the flavour too, and not much more. Whatever they have tried to do here, it was not very succesful.

L- Pale amber, very slight haze (there is sediment left on the bottle of the bottle), pours with 1Cm white nice looking head.
S- There is a certain grassy note to it - grass as in a garden lawn rather than anything 'more tropical'.
T- It has an immediate hoppy brightness to it, this builds for say 5 seconds and then ebbs away. Beneath is a more trad Belgian base flavour.
F- It is a good compromise, it's hoppier that most anything you'd usually get in this shape/origin of bottle, but it keeps it in balance overall. There is little risk of anyone suggesting this is over-hopped or modern/fashionable/hipster in style.
O- It's very nice. It would appeal to those who favour trad pale ales, esp with slightly higher than average ABVs%. 330ml 'stumpy'/stepped bottle. Bought from BelgiumInaBox in Antwerp/BE for home delivery to me in London/UK. BB: 01-2021.

Pours a clear golden color with a medium top off white head that dissolves slowly and leaves some lacings.
Aroma is of citrus, banana, grass, bread and floral hops.
The taste starts of sweet and fruity. It quickly turns to quite bitter with grassy and some floral notes. Some small malt notes in the back. The aftertaste and finish is a little weak. Mouthfeel is smooth and soft with a medium carbonation and a medium body.
Drinkable and not bad, it just does not have that extra that make it exciting.

Bottle: yeasty smell, an ale trying to be a hoppy lager. It has some of both worlds.

De Hipercor. En su copa. Jugando a Los Pilares de la Tierra. Mucho lupulo herbal muy fresco combinado con agradables notas citricas que recuerdan a la duvel citra pero resulta mas bebible por su bajo abv

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a rugged burnt pale yellow to orange color with a nice looking level foamy head that dissipated evenly leaving some foamy rings. The aroma balanced nicely between citrusy and floral hops eventually. But a big bold puckering sour citrus hit me first. Some Belgian sugars do sort the end of it out nicely. The flavor ends up yielding to the Belgian sweet citrus and floral hoppiness. Puckering sour effect still comes back, all blends into the aftertaste but the puckering sour seems to leave in the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. The "sour" seems to have glided out a lot more. Good carbonation with the hoppiness creating a nice bitterness about it. Overall, nice Belgian pale ale combining bitter hoppiness to the sour. I would have again.

Golden colour, with a big head that fades soon, keeping a layer and some lace. Aroma is fruity, some banana and citrus, and moderately hoppy. Medium body, great carbonation. Taste is fruity, banana, spicy notes. Not as bitter as aone would expect from "hoppy", more on the sweet side. Not exactly the best Kasteel.
