Beer bottle (50 cl.) purchased by Bill in Liechtenstein (during European tour jan 2014), tasted in 2014.

Appearance : golden color, with white foamy head.
Smell : Dry malty and light grassy aromas.
Taste & mouthfeel : caramel malty flavors, with bitter and slight grassy finish.
Overall : an average beer in the German style Hell.

33 cl bottle, consumed in Vaduz.

When fresh it isn’t hard to complain about this one. Sure it is more in the Euro Pale Lager league but it has a nice appearance, a nice hop bite, and a decent malt flavor.

And of course it is brewed with the finest water Liechtenstein has to offer. It was a better choice that Carlsberg that day, that is for sure.

Pours golden with large frothy head with good retention, patchy lacing. Aroma is plain and mild sweetish malt, hints of citrus.

The watery taste is strongly dominated by sweetish malt with hints of herbal hops, some acidic feel, bready and slightly yeasty aftertaste, towards the end seems like hints of alcohol. Mouthfeel is light-medium with moderate carbonation.

Overall, quite average and good looking Helles. I certainly did not like the aftertaste though.
