1st Pub on what turned out to be a long and most enjoyable Pub Crawl around Oxford on 23rd Nov 2013. Olde Worlde feel to this place and just lovely. We sat in the back bar, the front being full of people eating, or so it seemed.
Good selection of Cask Ales and glass fronted fridges with a choice of International bottles. Actually the women all had a little bottle of Prosecco each while I had a beer from Slaters (a surprise to see one in Oxford), the barman saying they had their beers on a regular basis. My son-in-law had a bottled De Koninck in a Bollika and my son some lager or other!
A huge party of well dressed country chaps (tweeds, Barbour jackets, etc, etc) came in while we were there and we bumped into them on and off all day as we both did our crawls. This is on everyones circuit it would seem.

One of the many English pubs I sat in on in a summer in Oxford. One of my favorites due to its selection of real ales all being good and for the styling of the inside. Was a great place to have a couple with friends on a quiet weeknight and not a place to start a pub crawl on. There seemed to be a following of locals rather than other college students that seemed to eye us but then again we were probably just being loud Americans.
A great place to get a pint of great real ale on a quiet night in Oxford.
