It is brewed with chinook hops for bitterness, simcoe hops for aroma, black malt, pale malt, chocolate malt, munich malt, crystal malt, roasted barley, and ale yeast, giving it an imperial taste.

16 oz can was poured into a tulip glass.
Appearance: The beer poured a two finger mocha head that has finally reduced and left nice lacing all over the glass. the beer is pitch black with no signs of carbonation.
Smell: roasted coffee and chocolate up front. Some dark fruits fanitly in the background.
Taste: roastiness, mocha, maple syrup, and the alcohol is not even noticeable.
Mouthfeel: smooth, medium bodied, medium carbonation, easy to drink, and a little watery.
Overall: Not really too familiar with porters, but this is a keeper. I might expect more flavor and some hops characteristics, but what do I know. Trying to broaden my beer horizon here with a decent brew out of a 16 oz can on a cold windy winter night. Might have to grab another out of the fridge. Also, still a worthy beer for the price of a six pack of tall boys too.

On tap at The Lionheart Pub in Albany, NY.
This one pours a very dark brown color, with a small white head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like toasted bread, chocolate, and roasted malt.
This is fairly basic and straightforward, but ultimately brewed well with no obvious flaws. It’s got a crisp slightly bitter hop bite on the end, melding with the pleasant roastiness and a touch of chocolatey malt. There’s a really nice toasty malt character as well.
This is medium bodied, crisp, and super drinkable.
I love seeing a successful no frills porter from a brewery like this.

My first porter love. Dark, mrliw, with a fizzy finish. No boozy afterbreath. Miss it terribly.
