Poured a brilliant bronze into a 1/2 liter stein,a large fluffy white crown atop,Oktoberfest beer for my money are the prettiest beers out there.Caramel malt and light toast in the nose,I would like a little more depth to not only the aromas but the flavors as well.Sweet and somewhat doughy with light drying in the finish, with a little more crispness this would be top notch,as is its decent. Not a bad O-fest beer, for $5.99 a six pack of 16oz cans its awesome,Narragansett is actually some good shit.

Serving: 16oz can into a pint glass
Served: 17 October 2014

Appearance: Pours a nice clover-honey amber color. Crystal clear with some good carbonation coming up the sides. The head initially pours to about 1.5 fingers but diminishes rather quickly, leaving a soapy sheen on top. A little lacing.

Smell: Slightly sweet caramel smells along with some dark wheat bread. Standard 'beery' smells. Easily the weakest component of this beer.

Taste: Surprisingly good for a cheap Oktoberfest! This one is right up there in my opinion with SA Octoberfest. Soft, sweet maltiness, low to no bitterness. Easy drinking from start to finish, but an Oktoberfestbier that still preserves some of the traditional malty flavors meant to be in an Oktoberfest. Very refreshing.

Feel: Excellent crisp mouthfeel with great carbonation.

Overall: One of Narragansett's best in my opinion, and a traditional beer they make quite well. If I were to have an Oktoberfest party, this is one beer I wouldn't mind buying in quantity for guests. A good Oktoberfest. Above average.

A: Poured from the tall-boy can into a pilsner glass. Body is a nice orangey-amber when backlit with a half-finger whitish head on top. Nice collar of lace up top.

S: A bit of caramel malt is about it. Not a particularly strong nose, though I'm probably serving this a tad bit on the cold side.

T: Sweeter than I like for my Octoberfests, but it's not cloying or bad in any sense - it just doesn't hit my "sweet spot" (so to speak). Modest caramel malt and a faintly nutty flavor in the back. FInishes modestly sweet but relatively clean. After a few sips I seem to get a faintly lemony finish. That provides some balance.

M: Light in heft with a faint slickness in the feel. Carbonation is appropriate - nice fine bubbles rise throughout, and on the palate it's OK.

O: A decent beer for what it is: a cheap Octoberfest.

Nice Oktoberfest brew, malty, semi-sweet, a nice head that sticks around with patchy foam islands like foam on the sea.
