Vienna, Pilsner, Light and Dark Munich malts make up the backbone of this beast, and Northern Brewer & Tettnanger hops are added to give it a crisp but subtle hop flavor.

- can.

A: Pale autumn orange with a pristine like clarity shows a slow, spacious rise of carbonation. Whispy, small head is dirty beige in color, bubbly on the surface, with a spongy texture and was quick to dissipate. No lacing on the shaker pint.

S: Aroma was fresh and lemony, some herbal flowers with a sweet toastiness of vienna malt.

T: Toasty sweet malt flavor, wet lemony hints upfront. Toasty bread, lightly dry, some sweet buttery vienna and honey malt with a hint of lime-orange. Fruity notes of banana and cantelope, with a fresh raisiny character followed by earthy hop flowers.

M: Light bodied, small creamy feel, some carbonation.

O: Overall a sweet oktoberfest style lager. Not something for mass consumption, a bit overly sweet for multiples, but best left in small appreciable quantities. single purchase.

Deep orangy amber. Scents of sweet honey, and malty goodness. Sweet earthy malty mellowness that rolls smoothly down the back of the pallet. The perfect amount of carbonation- latent yet not drowned by the malt. It breathes fall.

Want a Marzen but only have 6 bucks? This. Above avg Oktoberfest in tall boys for the right price. Would choose this over any low-end marzen (and cheap beers in general).

Poured a dark reddish copper color in a stein.

The aroma is sweet fruit, spice, and malt.

The beer is very carbonated as expected in the style.

The taste is fruity, finished with a crips, bitter hoppiness.

Overall, an excellent Ocktoberfest. A beer brewed in this style needs to have a prominent taste and aroma, and a crisp bitterness. This is an enjoyable beer- easy to drink, with a rich aroma, taste and finish.

Drank from can but have had many. Not a big fan of Marzens but this is the exception. Orange somewhat clear. God carbonation. Kind of dry. Good hops. Citrusy spicy hops. Almost IPA like. A little sweetness. My favorite of the Oktoberfest style of beers. Have not had a beer from Narragansett that I did not like

Serving: 16oz can into a pint glass
Served: 17 October 2014

Appearance: Pours a nice clover-honey amber color. Crystal clear with some good carbonation coming up the sides. The head initially pours to about 1.5 fingers but diminishes rather quickly, leaving a soapy sheen on top. A little lacing.

Smell: Slightly sweet caramel smells along with some dark wheat bread. Standard 'beery' smells. Easily the weakest component of this beer.

Taste: Surprisingly good for a cheap Oktoberfest! This one is right up there in my opinion with SA Octoberfest. Soft, sweet maltiness, low to no bitterness. Easy drinking from start to finish, but an Oktoberfestbier that still preserves some of the traditional malty flavors meant to be in an Oktoberfest. Very refreshing.

Feel: Excellent crisp mouthfeel with great carbonation.

Overall: One of Narragansett's best in my opinion, and a traditional beer they make quite well. If I were to have an Oktoberfest party, this is one beer I wouldn't mind buying in quantity for guests. A good Oktoberfest. Above average.
