Based on the "Bavarian" style beer that Narragansett produced in the '60s and '70s, this elegant Oktoberfest style Marzen is brewed with the highest quality German malts and hops. Weyermann's Munich malt creates a rich bready and toasty base, while the noble Tettnang hops add a crisp, but subtle and dry spiced finish. King Grambrinus would be proud!

Six pack from Total Wine - Richmond. Amber pour with a small foamy head. Malty aroma and taste, mild sweetness, although a bit musty too. Very close to style

Surprisingly bitter and less sweet than most American marzens.

Pours a dark orange with thick white head, smell is of caramel malt and grains. Taste is slightly more toasty and bitter than others in the style, not a bad beer, just leaves a bitter aftertaste that’s slightly strange.

The pour is amber colored with a moderate amount of carbonation. The taste is malty, mild caramel, & mild hops. Cheers! B-

Unexpectedly terrific märzen. Hearty, robust, malty, lovely amber color. All for a terrific value.

Really enjoy this beer every year. I pay $8.99 for a 6 pack of 16 oz's, that's hard to beat. Not a whole lot on the nose but those rich and malty octoberfest notes really stand out on the palate. The finish leaves a really nice marzen flavor. It crushable and flavorful. Cheers

Pours a clear light amber color with a slight head. The smell is of malt and light hops. The taste is a light malt and bread flavor. A nice Octoberfest beer.

16 ounce can, no dating I could find on it but I'm guessing it was from this past fall. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a mostly clear amber color with about an inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The aroma is nice but subtle, the brew smells like bready/caramel malt and some spicy/herbal hops. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but has a little more kick in comparison. There's also a slight bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's smooth and easy to drink with a good amount of carbonation. I thought this was a decent enough brew, wouldn't mind trying it again when it's fresher.
