Serving: Can, from the can
Served: 3 June 2014
Appearance: Had this from the can, so can't comment much on the appearance. Can artwork is great though.
Smell: Traditional "beery" smell, but very sweet and with a slight overlay of hop aroma, though it is not strong enough to discern any true notes from it.
Taste: A nice light-bodied beer on the sweeter side with a slight assertion of citrus hop flavor and a mild bitterness on the back end. A beer that is unpretentious in its flavor, but assertive nonetheless, with a solid flavor profile for a beer that is meant to be easy-drinking and sessionable.
Mouthfeel: Medium-high to high carbonation brings the lighter body some life.
Overall: Better than the Narragansett lager, and a bit more expensive, coming in at just over $8/sixer here in Boston. However, for this price and quantity (16oz cans), I'd be hard pressed to find a better sessionable summer beer that doesn't blast me with hops. Would definitely recommend, especially if you're looking for a party/BBQ beer.

Pint can poured into a pilsner glass.
Appearance: Pours a clear golden yellow with heavy carbonation. Head is about two inches and fades quickly. Looks like a lager.
Aroma: Some notes of grass, bread, lemon, grapefruit, and a faint somewhat corny aroma. The corn note isn't off-putting but it adds to the lager-like quality of the beer.
Taste: Follows the nose, with grapefruit and grassiness dominating. Nice clean taste. Easy drinking. Good hot day beer.
Mouthfeel: It's light of body but not watery.
Overall: Solid session ale with a nice, drinkable, balanced character. Good beer for cookouts and outdoor gatherings. Nothing fancy, but something tasty.
