Had one of these in June on the Block Island ferry and really enjoyed it, but was wondering if it was just situational. It wasn't. This is a damn good beer -- probably the most solid macro I can remember having.
Pours a bright, crystal clear golden color with a sticky white head from a 16 oz. tallboy. Nice lacing on the side of the glass -- a sign of actual hops in a macro.
Pleasing aroma of faint malty sweetness with a hoppy tinge. Clean smooth taste -- grapenutty barley with a substantial hoppiness to the finish. Very smooth and solid.
Mouthfeel is lively -- good carbonation gives it a nice tingle. Crisp and refreshing. An easy drinker -- an outstanding relaxer.
Truly a topnotch macro and one that I can see keeping around to ease the sting of rising gas prices, beer prices and childcare. $5.99 for a sixer of talls is a nice deal. And this actually tastes like real, honest-to-goodness beer as opposed to corn seltzer.
