This one surprises me.
The appearance is slightly darker than straw yellow with a average head, and left some lacing.
Smell is definatley grainy, with some alcoholish and even a hint of some fruit notes on the nose.
The taste is rather surprising. It's grainy, wheat and even has a nice hop note to it. It leaves a definate smooth, almost sweet taste in the mouth afterwards.
The mouthfeel is average , and typical for a American adjunct lager.
This is a VERY drinkable beer and the old name of "nastygansett" does NOT apply to this. This is a very solid beer, with a nice taste and tone. A great session beer.

A: Gold / amber lager; pours very clear with a fizzy head that builds fast and dissipates quickly.
S: Not too much going on; a bit of malt maybe. Pretty neutral experience.
T: Not bad for an AAL; rather sweet with just enough spice to keep me interested. Sixteen ounces went down very easily.
M: Again, better than I expected; there's enough here to elevate this beer above most of the macros I've tried.
O: This beer surprised me a bit, and I might just reach for another on a sweltering summer day. Definitely a cut above many of the pale, watery offerings to be found within this genre.
