Poured a hazy dark copper hue with a one finger foamy. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured an earhty caramel and herbal hop.

The taste consisted of burnt caramel and a biting herbal bitterness that lasted through the finish.

The mouthfeel was typical of the style.

Overall an interesting DIPA.

22oz bottle poured into a Nonic pint and finished in a snifter.

A: Opaque amber body with a frothy beige head that has excellent retention as well as copious lacing.

S: Smell of bread and citrus hops

T: Sweet carmel and bread malts. Piney hops

M: Nice full body goes down easy. Leaves a nice bitterness on the tongue.

O: fairly nice well balanced IPA. Probably wont drink again since it was a limited release but it is a good beer.

Poured into an imperial pint glass a clear lighter amber shade with a tightly formed one finger slight off white head atop.It smelled sweet with a good amount of alcohol a sweet biscuit dough, thee is a nice shot of overripe tropical fruit notes in there as well.Flavors of sweet grilled pineapple and citrusy hops up front than a wave of sweet caramel, sugar, and sweet alcohol seemed to take over. It's not bad, close to par for the style but it might be even sweeter than most of wich is saying something.

From the 650 ml. bottle. Sampled on June 30, 2013.

It pours medium amber to copper with a moderate beige head that lingers. There is a bit of a cloudiness in the beer too.

The aroma is quite alive with earthy and floral hops along with a sweet biscuit maltiness that tends to be a little subdued but there nevertheless.

Medium body.

The taste has an abrupt sweet caramel maltiness for a split second at the start which is overtaken by the hop bitterness that lingers at the end. This is a fairly nice IPA from Narragansett.

650ml bottle served chilled in a snifter.

L - chill hazed deep copper color with a beige head that thinned to a ring but still managed to leave some lacing behind.

S - sweet citrus aroma reminded me of tangerine candy (Altoids' Tangerine Sours - RIP).

T - whoa! - the taste starts out like you just bit into a grapefruit and it's gets more bitter right up to the finish.

F - medium bodied and it goes down fairly easy.

O - this was the hoppiest beer I ever had from Narragansett.

A: Pours a clear medium copper in color with light to moderate amounts of visible carbonation and some amber highlights. The beer has a finger tall dense foamy off-white head that reduces to a medium patch of very thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of caramel malts with a light amount of sweetness and moderate to strong aromas of citrus/grapefruit and tropical/pineapple hops.

T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of caramel malts with just the slightest touch of sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavor of citrus/grapefruit rind and tropical/pineapple hops. Light to moderate amounts of lingering bitterness in the finish.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of creamy carbonation. Smooth with moderate amounts of dryness in the finish.

O: Pretty well balanced between the malty sweetness and hoppy bitterness. Nicer combination of hop aromas than flavors but both are good. Enjoyable and easy to drink - alcohol is pretty well hidden.
