Dark. Dark in the daytime. Smells like cola pretty much. Maybe a bit of a tastier malt smell. Tastes a bit roasty. Kind of confused in its committance or lacktherof to hops. Feels pretty ok. Good carb the whole way through. Terrible starchy and booze aftertaste. Ocerall it was much bette the first time I had it. Still drinkable with some age. But better fresh obviously.

Got a 22oz bottle a few months ago, at some local store.... opted to quaff it
yesterday (17AUG14) out in the 'Zebo....
Poured into a Sammy perfect pint glass, it was a deep, clear chestnut color. The
topping was a frothy, creamy beige layer of foam which thinned slowly. Carbo was
scattered and slow-rising. Lacing was decent, here and there. Aroma was nice, with
some caramel and roasty, nutty malts. The body was medium-plus, with a soft, smooth
feel on the tongue, showing minimal prickle.
Flavor had some light sweetness, plenty of caramel maltiness, plus a choco character.
It was also a bit roasty and nutty, and even had a hint of dark fruit lurking in the shadows.
Hopping was light, with a smidge of florality at the finish. All in all, not bad at all. Not overly
complex, but quite tasty. Prosit!!

22oz bottle purchased as a single from Yankee Spirits, Sturbridge, MA.
Poured into an imperial pint glass, formed a 1/2" tan head over the somewhat muddy reddish brown brew. Head holds on pretty well, with a muted malty nose.
Taste starts with roasted grains, a touch of fruitiness in the middle, and closes with coffee notes and a moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is pretty smooth, and drinkability is good as well. Overall, an interesting beer, but not quite as assembled as I was expecting. Still definitely an enjoyable brew.
