Roll out the Barrel: Narragansett Bohemian Pils is a craft offering joining the flagship Lager and Light in the year-round line-up, which is complemented by seasonal craft offerings and limited-edition releases.
Quality Supreme: The Narragansett Bohemian Pils was styled after the Narragansett Imperial Bohemian Pilsner, a limited edition offering in the brand’s Private Stock series, released earlier in 2013. Brewed under the supervision of award-winning Brewmaster Sean Larkin, the Pils is filtered for a flavorful, sessionable beer experience. Winner of a gold medal in the Pilsner category at the 2013 World Beer Championships.
Taste & Enjoy: A flavorful yet easy-drinking, refreshing beer; this brew features the nuanced flavor of Pale malt, Pilsner malt, Wheat malt and Cara Blonde malt up front, balanced with the bitterness of Northern Brewer and Hallertau hops. Tons of flavor and yet still highly drinkable.
The History: Honoring the long-standing tradition of lager brewing established by the original German founders, Narragansett chose a lager-style beer to expand our year-round craft offerings. While many craft breweries today are focused on ale-style beers, lager continues to be ‘Gansett’s signature style, as seen in the Marzen-style Fest, Helles Bock and flagship offerings Lager and Light. The packaging and style were inspired by the Pilsner style beer that was produced by ‘Gansett in the early 1900’s.

Poured into a pilsener glass, the appearance was a soft golden color with a nice transparency about it showcasing a light carbonation delicately rising to fill a finger's worth of white foamy head. It must have dissipated every so slowly to leave a slight stringy lace.
The aroma had a nice smooth sweet corn and wheaty character playing with some grassy hop tones and some light lemon bits. Light cracker.
The flavor was initially malty/crackery and seemed to develop into that sly sweet corn to wheaty backbone. Hops are ever so delicate, somewhat grassy. Super nice smooth crackery to grassy aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about light bodied with a fine sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt as projected. Smooth crisp grassy hopped finish.
Overall, very nice German pilsener I'd welcome again preferably this time of year.

This beer was bought at Trader Joes outside Narragansett's normal distribution. It's a very good European style Pilsener contract brewed in Rochester. Excellent balanced flavor. i prefer this to most of the current crop of pilseners/lagers from other craft brewers.

Golden body with half a finger of white head. Aroma and taste of melon and pear, malty and crackery as well. Not as crisp of a finish as better pilsners showcase. This one had a fuller mouthfeel that I found less appealing for the style.

Clear golden body with a fluffy, white head. Aromas of grains, corn. Straight forward with notes of corn and sweet lager yeast. Light bodied with a tangy finish. Decent.

Feel was think compared to class German brewed pils. Hops were muted and somewhat overwhelmed by body.
