From the 16 fl. oz. can with no noticeable bottling or expiration date. Sampled on February 16, 2014.

It pours like a pilsener with its very heady yellow color and moderate carbonation. Head sticks around forever it seems.

Aroma of toasted grain and barley with a very clean, crisp hop note. It feels so pure.

The body is light and refreshing which is about what I would expect from a pilsener.

The taste has this sort of grainy and malty character at the start with a clean, crisp hop finish that does not linger long but is memorable. Highly refreshing and drinkable. They also have a small batch pilsener but this one is comparable to it.

Poured out of a tallboy into a pint. Nice, solid lacing sticks to the glass, plenty of carbonation , the body is a pleasant rich golden hue.
Has a nice grassy, grainy aroma, slight hint of hops.
Taste is kinda bready, mild sweet hops with a slightly bitter dry finish.
Overall it's a nice value, easy drinking beer that is several notches above your run of the mill macro.

Serving: Can, from the can
Served: 8 June 2014

Appearance: Had this one from the can, so can't comment much on it. Like the can art, looks very retro.

Smell: Standard "beer" smell, though admittedly quite sweet, with slight spicy hop notes.

Taste: Really great for a domestic German pilsner. This one won't blow you away or is a stylist exemplar of the style, but for a German pils, this comes pretty close to some stuff you can get overseas. The beer is very crisp and smooth, with some of the characteristic breadiness from the malts, combined with a good assertion of noble hop flavor. Very well balanced and drinkable. Finishes semi-dry.

Mouthfeel: Lively carbonation with a medium-light body.

Overall: This beer is pretty good. Fitting with Narragansett's other styles of non-complex, drinkable beers, this one adds another easily drinkable old-world lager style to the US craft scene. I would recommend this beer for cookouts and grill parties, especially with sausages.

Light gold color and clear. Okay head with some lace on the side of the glass.

Strong raw graininess to the aroma. Afterward, there's a bit pale malt and no hop that I can tell.

The body is good; the carbonation high. Less grainy than the smell, but it still is a malt heavy beer. There's a good balancing hop bitterness on the tongue.

poured from a 16 oz. can into a pilsner glass it looks great, rich golden color, large thick white head that lasted a long time and lots of sticky lace to go along with it. smells sort of sweet to me like over ripe fruit and some spice notes also. sweet malty taste but i am not getting that hop bitterness that should be there. mouthfeel and carbonation were ok. overall i liked it and i would buy it again. not the same taste as your imports but still tasty and looks good in the glass.
