This is a hidden gem in Tallahassee.
My rating might be low compared to others because I am comparing it to all other stores I have been to. *If* comparing it to other stores in Tallahassee it would be a +4...
You can drive by and not realize that the beer stop has a pretty good selection of brews in the store, with also a walk in cooler. The store owner Mac said they are going to expand the selection with the purchase of the store next door, have a website, etc. I'm excited about this as it will help out with bringing more brews to the area. I'm sure the Thomasville Beer Club, find us on facebook, members will enjoy this too.
Mac has a good selection of American, English, Belgium, German, some French, and other European brews, along with a few brews from other continents.
It is worth the visit. It is packed, so you have look around and dig some, but you can find some good selections. Hope his expansion plans will be a little more organized.

Intro story: I was not sure what to expect from this store, as traveling to it was a VERY spur of the moment affair.
I had just finished up my semester and was looking to do an epic brew run. After hitting up ferm market and picking up a few bottles (and a free glass, which was a nice touch), I had a strong desire for something I had never had before: the Jewbliation...a huge looking brew from the Schmaltz brewing company (I have wanted to try it for a few months but only found the reason to do so that day)
Ferm market did not have any, but the guy who was working the store at the time told me to try this spot, so I decided to. I really wasn't expecting much from beer stop, but really, it surprised me greatly
Atmosphere: when you first see the store, you will see why I said "not expecting much", since the entire outside is plastered by adds for wattery macrobrew, but once you get inside it is really more about the craft brew and wine (Id say that only about 30% of the store is dedicated to the truly watery and cheap macro stuff). The rows of hard to find beer and walk in freezer are a plus, but the small cramped size can get a bit difficult at times
Quality: I am not sure how to answer this, as it would had been covered in "service" and "selection". But I can safely say that the quality of their stuff is, uhh, good I guess?
The bottle I picked up was not broken or anything so Ill give the quality a:
Service: this one is a bit tough for me. Whiel the staff was very nice and friendly, It was very hard to tell if they knew a great deal about good/craft beer. Obviously SOMEONE their knows beer really well, since the selection is fantastic, but I am not sure it is the people who work the store most of the time.
Despite that, Friendly service goes a long way in my book, especially considering that many place lack in those characterless
Selection: this place SHINES on selection. You can find things here that you cant find anywhere in town. Odd bottles of limited release brews (many which can be bought cold in their walk in freezer, full of craft, which Ill say again, was a nice nice nice touch). I only bought one bottle, which I found 1 minute after walking in, but damn, I msut had spent 20 minutes browsing through their stuff seeing some truely wild and awesome brews
The most memorable find: a 4 pack of DFH 120min IPA. I didn't even know it was POSSIBLE to find a brew like that in a 4 pack, but yea, their it was
If their was a case of World Wide Stout out their in tally, I'm sure it would be in this store being sold by the 4 pack.
Food: None. But Jennys is right next door, so Id suggest going their first for some damn fine breakfast/lunch items.
Value: now this one is a mixed bag. One SOME things, their price isn't too bad, but on others, it is noticeably higher that the comeptiton. Of course, on a lot of their stuff, you CANT find it at any other store, so its price is fair, but Id suggest looking at another store before you go to make sure your getting the best deal you can get.
- A bit pricey
But despite that, its a store you really have to check out. A lovely beer store run by nice people, for any craft/good beer lover (or even the stiffs that enjoy a macro every now and then), its worth it for you to drive out and check out the store.

Saw this locale while driving in to Tallahassee for a work-related conference. We were heading out to a party later that evening, so we stopped by (spur of the moment) to see if there was something we could pick up to bring with us to the party. The establishment is in a strip mall, on the "main drag" going into Tallahassee, so it is easily accessible.
Didn't know exactly what to expect so I had no expectations.
About ten (10) coolers along the left wall, with a row of shelving down the middle with several offerings. Mostly your typical domestics and macro beers.
Many local and a few more distant craft offerings (Chimay Blue/Red/White, Rogue, etc). As I was scanning the shelving my eye caught upon a four-pack of DFH Palo Santo Marron. Since I can't get DFH in South Carolina (at least, not in the midlands) I quickly picked up two four (4)-packs. I also saw Midas Touch and some IPA 60's in the coolers.
I was approached by a staffer asking if I needed any assistance and when I was checking out, he wanted to know if I wanted to swap out my room-temp Santo Marron's for cold ones. Nice touch.
Since we were in a rush, I wasn't able to give this establishment a good once-over, but since I walked out with two four-packs of Santo Marron, it may be worth another round.
For a quick stop on the spur of the moment, not too shabby.
