On tap, poured into their standard nonic.
Other locations called this an irish dry stout; the bartender told me english stout; at times it tasted like a milk stout, so I am not really sure the exact classification.
The presentation is just gorgeous. Nearly pitch black, with a faint, glimmering reddish highlight at the edges, and a very dense, compact, coffe and milk colored head that hold forever and coats the sides of the glass completely. It is not really lacing, but more of a coating. It promises a very full body.
Aroma is of chocolate milk, faint roasted malts, not much else. Disappointing.
Quite thin, watery even on the palate; sweetish stout with milk chocolate again, and very faint roasted malts. Very disappointing.
I do not remember having a beer with such a great presentation to be such a disappointment, ever.
Serving type: on-tap
