Had this on tap at the JP Brewpub in A2. Poured a light yellow, mostly clear, with a fluffy white head. The aroma is a huge boquet of pine cones, with no sweetness at all. Flavor follows suit with straight piney hops, very little sweetness to go along, and a clean bitter finish. Somewhat one-dimensional, but refreshing to some extent and definitely a go to if you are looking for a hop punch.

On tap at Jolly Pumpkin, Ann Arbor.

Came in a tulip glass with a large, rocky head. The aroma was malty and powerfully hoppy, with grapefruit, spice, and lots of pine. This beer is apparently brewed with nettles, so I don't know if that accounts for some of the pine aromas, as opposed to hops. In the mouth this beer is huge; it is full-bodied with more strong pine flavour, ginger, some grapefruit, and an intense maltiness just beneath.

I have never had anything with nettles before, so I don't know what to taste for, but if I had sampled this without knowing what was in it, I would have thought it was a very hoppy IPA with no unusual ingredients.
