Purchased a 4pk at Wegman in Warrington, PA
Poured into and enjoyed in a DFH Signature Glass
A - Pours a slightly opaque, honey-orange color. A very lackluster head on the initial pour, maybe half-finger. Whatever head there was faded quickly. Nice amount of lacing left after drinking.
S - The distinct hoppy, citrusy IPA aroma. Smells pretty good.
T - The beer is not as balanced as I would like. It leans towards the bitter hop side with not a whole lot of malts to balance it out. The usual citrusy (grapefruit) and piney taste are present. Not a lot of sweetness to smooth things out. The alcohol is slightly noticeable.
M - A thin consistency especially for a DIPA. Decent carbonation. Bitter aftertaste.
O - A good DIPA, I've had many others that I enjoy more. I love the hoppy bitterness but I do like a bit of sweetness to round things out. My first brew from Breckenridge Brewery. Not bad but probably would seek out other examples in the future.
