I was lucky enough to have my neighbor stop by and share a few of these in my garage while watching the Tigers. Thanks Tom.
A - A cloudy copper / brown pour with nice head and retention. Light and spotty lacing come through after each drink out of a snifter glass.
S - Citrus, resinous, dank hops, some sweet malts.
T - Big citrus hop flavors, followed by some sweet malt balance and then more of a bitter dank hop finish. Clean and very easy to drink for a DIPA.
O - this is an 'ok' american DIPA, but I would say worth a try. Very easy to drink, but nothing really breaks the mold on this one. Their are so many other options in this category that I will probably never come back.

A: not much head, nice lacing though. Dark amber in color
S: maybe I'm a bit congested or something but I don't get much on the aroma.
T: very good. This is an interesting beer because the initial taste is boozy with raisin flavored like a Belgian double or something but then you get that hit of citrusy hops which finish with an intense and excellent bitterness. Good.
M: nice. Light and then bitter finish is very pleasant
O: this is a solid beer...interesting because of the booziness while still maintains hoppy character

The pour was a nice typical high IBU orange hue. The head lasted but only a few seconds.
But there was no question about hops here. Lots of different hops all coming out at once.
Once I got past the aroma, my first sip verified what my nose was saying. It was a nice dry bitterness, grapefruit, pine tar and citrus spices. But then, what else? that was it, there wasnt anything else. I wanted some malt to balance the bitterness, but with this beer, I just got bitterness without any roundness .
Even though this was a mid range IBU (70), the taste presented itself as being higher, but without a lot of the typical high IBU styles.
So, I walked away from this one with mixed emotions.
