A: Pours surprisingly more of a deep straw color. Definitely much more in the yellow range making appear like a good pale ale rather than a DIPA. However, the 1/2 inch white head sits perfectly on this brew, and it nicely reminds you of its presence by clinging to the glass.
S: The hoppy aroma comes through perfectly, but I feel that the malts are slightly lack luster. I'm very pleased to say there is a uniqueness to its essence that is provided by the different hops used to make it. The fuggle hops provide a nice twist to the odor.
T: Due to the different types of hops used, the taste also has a very distinct taste. Again, the malts could have a bit more influence to lighten the bitterness of the hops. An excellent mixture of earthy and citrusy flavor that is a delicious surprise considering the style.
M: A nice layer of well carbonated stickiness amply coats the palate. The stickiness causes the bitterness to lie briefly too long, but still very nicely put together.
O: It's a unique design to the style, so if it's available go ahead and give it a try.
