Poured from a bottle to a pint glass:

A - Orange coloring, creamy head, sticky lacing

S - Citrus scents, hops dominate the nose

T - Fairly well balanced double, strong malt backbone to match the hopiness. Lots of competeing flavors here.

M - medium bodied and pretty smooth for the high ABV.

O - Not bad, but not the best either. A decent double and worth the purchase.

Huge brillient white foamy head, sticks around for a while too. Great lacing. Perfect clear orange color with some reds and lots of yellows.

Whoa! Is this Breckenridge??? Huge hop note full of pine and resin. Mango, red apple, and bready malt. No sugary-ness or Burn. Slight funk as it warms

Very creamy and well carbonated. Immediate bitterness falls short and drawn out bitterness tastes too much like rubber. A slight miss on MF. Taste is rather bland and lacking sticky hops like other leading IPAs. Pretty thin too. Not much hop balance here...

The flavors and mouthfeel are a total mess, but the looks and scent are right on point. One of the better BB brews. Recommended if it's up against a BMC, otherwise there's better balanced IPAs.

Pours a clear deep golden light copper color with a solid one finger cream head that lingers, leaving sheets of lacing.

Aroma is dominated by grapefruit and pine, resin, and a somewhat sweet caramel malt backbone.

The initial sip reveals a significant amount of dms. Canned corn dominates the aftertaste. Getting beyond that, the flavor begins with sweet caramel malt, toffee, ushering in sharp citrus notes of grapefruit, lemon, and orange. The finish is fairly bitter, accompanying pine, spruce, and resin.

Body is moderate to slightly heavy, smooth, with a moderate amount of carbonation and a noticeable alcohol warmth.

Beyond its flaws, the beer is an interesting balance in extremes. Sweet caramel malt shows early and is then overpowered by a significant hop punch that fires on all cylinders...resin, bitterness, citrus, pine.
