Dark brown with a thin tan head, light orange highlights with no retention or lacing. Vanilla and light chocolate aroma. Strong vanilla with roasted and dark chocolate notes and an overall strong sweetness. Sharp yet robust feel.
I will start by saying I am rather preferential to vanilla. That being said I did rather enjoy this beer although I will say I wasn’t sure whether this was brewed with vanilla or infused with vanilla. The vanilla is so strong it seems fairly artificial. However, I still liked it overall although the feel left something to be desired for a porter.

Poured into a pint glass.
Appearance: A very dark brown/black. Cannot see through it at all. A thick tan head that dissipates to a lacing.
Smell: A hint of vanilla, coffee, not very strong.
Taste: What it lacks in smell, it makes up for in taste. A strong porter taste with a touch of vanilla. Similar to coffee.
Mouthfeel: Very smooth and drinkable.
Overall: After a weak aroma, the taste saved the beer. A smooth, easily drinkable porter. Glad I had it.
