Served on-tap into a pint glass.
Very dark brown body with a slight red tint. A small head, about one finger thick to be precise, formed and dissolved into very thin lacing.
The smell and taste were nearly identical. Rich and creamy notes of vanilla seemed to dominate the taste. It was not overbearing but it should definitely be noted by drinkers who do not care for vanilla. A small amount of bitterness comes from the hops. I prefer Porters a tad on the bitter side so they lost a few points in this department but this beer was well-balanced considering it was flavored.
Overall: This was a special at my favorite local bar. I had a few of these on-tap. As long as this is on special then I will definitely take advantage of it. Full flavor, yet light enough to throw a few back without feeling sledged out.
Bottom Line: Not the best Porter I've had but worth checking out, especially if you are a vanilla fan.

Poured into a pint glass.
Appearance: A very dark brown/black. Cannot see through it at all. A thick tan head that dissipates to a lacing.
Smell: A hint of vanilla, coffee, not very strong.
Taste: What it lacks in smell, it makes up for in taste. A strong porter taste with a touch of vanilla. Similar to coffee.
Mouthfeel: Very smooth and drinkable.
Overall: After a weak aroma, the taste saved the beer. A smooth, easily drinkable porter. Glad I had it.
