Poured from a 12oz bottle into my MRAF pint glass.
A: Pours a dark brown with a small tannish head. Leaves lacing after each sip and it holds on to the glass well. Held to light it's actually a dark amber/mahogany color. Nice.
S: Let down here. Coffee, roast, a little bit of vanilla hidden in the back, and that's about it. Nothing past those notes. Odd, considering that this is called a Vanilla Porter, I was expecting more vanilla. Moving on...
T: Whoa, there is the vanilla. Very strong right off the bat with roast, coffee, toffee, and slightly smoky notes. Woody/earthy hop toward the finish. Nice, again.
M: Surprisingly thin and light, lower carbonation, smooth, a little slick on the palate.
O: Not bad. Surprising it took me this long to try it, since I like porters.
Overall, a very nice, drinkable, porter.
