Look: Four finger mocha shaving cream head, good retention, clear deep ruby ( about a 32 SRM), lots of carb, very nice lacing.
Smell: Burnt malts, chocolate, light whole bean coffee.
Taste: Big malts, chocolate, coffee, fresh bean vanilla (not extract tasting) that smooths the end to a coffee bitter finish it tastes like a nice high end coffee, body is a too light, carb is too much IMO.
Final Thoughts: I think this would make a perfect intro to porters for people that are totally new to it. Very basic porter thats toned down a bit with added vanilla. But for more experienced porter lovers, this is gonna come up short for you and leave you wanting something more. Not bad a bad beer, just nothing to go nuts about.
