Review from BeerAdvocate Magazine Issue #57 (October 2011):
In an exceptionally drinkable flavored Porter, vanilla is an accessory that helps the Porter just be a Porter. Drinkable, as the dryness asks for another sip. Not your typical dessert beer, it’s actually quite versatile, as it would be good to put up against a spicy beef dish or used as a compliment to something similar.
SMELL: Vanilla beans, carob powder, golden raisins, nougat, burnt toast
TASTE: Roasted grain, cream soda, breakfast-blend coffee, cocoa, semidry, vague fruit
Serving type: bottle
