This beer was served out of a 12oz. bottle dispensed into a glass....
Appearance - This beers pours out a deep dark brown color with a beige one finger head that disappears rather quickly and not much lacing to be found. I really liked the labeling on the bottle as well.
Smell - The vanilla was not as prevalent as I would have expected. Had a malty coffee smell typical of a porter with hints of chocolate.
Taste - Again I was expecting a more vanilla taste from this offering. Toffee taste that had just a slight hint of vanilla and maybe maple.
Mouthfeel - I expected this to be a fuller bodied beer but was surprised to find that it was very light bodied. A bit to much carbonation for my liking.
Drinkability - This beer is not an overly drinkable offering for me. The light body and over carbonation would cause me to not be able to drink more than a couple of these.
This beer was OK but I was dissappointed in it overall. I love porters and the prospect of a vanilla infused porter really excited me. I was a bit let down by this.
