A: Pours a ruby red/mahogany color with half a fingers worth of head that fades quickly

S: Get roasted malts and vanilla right up front, along with chocolate notes as well

T: Definitely vanilla forward. Starts off roasty and then quickly goes into vanilla. The vanilla lingers for a while, and then a light chocolate accompanies the vanilla

M: Medium bodied with moderate-high carbonation. Smooth after the carbonation hits

O: This is definitely a dessert beer, it's sweet and very vanilla forward. It would make a very good float with ice cream, as well. Quaffable despite the sweetness. It was enjoyable in the short time it lasted

On a side note, I'm not really sure how people aren't getting the vanilla in this beer... it's at the forefront and VERY detectable

12 oz bottle into a mug

A: Looks black, but is actually dark brown in the light. Brown head fades almost instantly to a small ring.

S: Slight roast, small hint of what I think is vanilla. Not much else.

T: Some light roasted malt, water, no vanilla.

M: Slightly less than medium body, carbonation is pretty low.

O: I now see why this beer gets such little love. No standout qualities and weak flavor. I find it hard to believe Breckenridge can't do better, but maybe they really can't.
